Promotions or Special Offers

While Campfire Lights primarily serves as a facility for scouting programs and various events, direct public-facing promotions for general camping stays might not be as widely advertised as commercial campgrounds. However, based on the nature of similar facilities and user reviews, there are inherent "special offers" that make Campfire Lights an attractive option for locals in Texas:

  • Cost-Effectiveness for Groups: As noted by a previous visitor, "the cost is manageable when compared to state parks fees." This inherent affordability acts as a continuous promotion, especially for scout troops and other organizations looking for budget-friendly outdoor experiences. It means more people can participate and enjoy the benefits of camping without a hefty financial burden.
  • Value-Added Experience for Scout Programs: The dedication to hosting BSA trainings for adults, youth, and Cub Scouts means that participating groups receive a specialized and tailored experience that directly supports their educational and recreational goals. This specialized programming is a significant value add, making the campground a vital resource for the scouting community in Texas.
  • Enhanced Facilities for Comfort: The recent improvements in "upkeep" and "nicer facilities" (including updated bathrooms and showers) represent an ongoing investment that benefits all visitors. While not a temporary discount, the consistent provision of well-maintained amenities at a competitive price is a continuous "offer" of quality and comfort, enhancing the overall experience for campers.
  • Community-Focused Pricing: Given its apparent association with the Boy Scouts of America (as suggested by "McGimsey Scout Park" in search results associated with the address and the emphasis on scout programs), the pricing structure may inherently reflect a commitment to community service and accessibility, rather than maximizing profit. This mission-driven approach can translate into more favorable rates for the general public when opportunities arise.

For the most up-to-date information on any specific public camping offers or event-related promotions at Campfire Lights, it's always recommended to directly contact them using the provided contact information. Their staff can provide details on availability, rates for various group sizes, and any upcoming special events that might be open to the wider community beyond scheduled scout activities.

Great area for cub/scout scout programs. U can camp here almost anytime with your troop too. the cost is manageable when compared to state parks fees. Upkeep is better this year, other years the camp was in disarray for needed repairs, and facilities are nicer as well now (building with ref doors is bathrooms and showers). Many bsa trainings for adults youth and cub scouts happens here.

Great event - puts you right into the Christmas spirit. I was impressed with how well it was done and how long the light display went. Additionally, it benefits a great organization ~ Scouts of America. Worthwhile investment into our youth.

Great holiday drive thru light show. Holiday music by radio. Every curve brings new delights. A must for kids and adults alike. Only $40 per carload! Watch out for live deer as you enjoy the display. This is a Boy Scout adventure camp, not normally open to the public.
