My extended family stayed here last weekend, May, 2025 and a weekend every summer since 2020. The buildings were in good shape. I believe each building had 3 bedrooms with bunkbeds. A swing-set was nearby. We had a campfire in the fire-pit. The area overlooked the lake. About half mile away is a beach, which is closed this summer for maintenance.
This is a beautiful area for duck hunting starting in September. At the end of the area is the location for group camping.
It's our 5th year having family reunions here. We have always loved it, but this is our last time here. The place has seriously gone downhill on our last 2 reunions. Totally infested with ants and overrun with mice. We took it upon ourselves to bug bomb the place and set out about 10 mouse traps. Got 4 mice the first night, but we still lost 3 boxes of food due to the mice. Totally disgusting and we never saw the caretaker after we checked in. NO WAY TO SPEND VACATION TIME.
Our church stayed the weekend . We rented both buildings women in one and men in other. We loved every minute of it !! Beautiful view♡ Very reasonable price!!! We will be back
The kids liked the snakes that slithered to their nest under the back patio. The bald eagle and osprey were cool. The mice that ran across my foot at night, got into our bread, and left poop EVERYWHERE were not 🤢 Someone needs to call an exterminator, the half-dozen traps aren't working.
