When you visit Florida, you’ll never be short of things to do. Live the magic and meet Mickey Mouse at Walt Disney World. Watch as your favourite blockbuster movies come to life at Universal Studios. Why not make a splash on some of the most thrilling water rides at Rapids Water Park or visit the giant orcas at SeaWorld? Famed for its vast selection of theme parks and attractions, Florida has been branded the Theme Park Capital of the World. Not only is it home to 10 major theme parks, but you'll also find dozens of smaller attractions scattered throughout Florida.
If you are seeking a more relaxing vacation, you’ll find some of the state's most beautiful beaches nestled within Florida. South Beach in Miami, Siesta Key Beach in Sarasota, and not forgetting the stunning paradise on the Gulf Coast, Clearwater’s St Pete Beach, with its soft white sand and crystal clear waters, it's easy to see why this luxurious spot has been declared the number one beach in the U.S.

Key Lime Pie is Florida's most famous and perfected dish. An American dessert pie made up of egg yolks, sweetened condensed milk and, of course, the key ingredient, lime. This delicious pie can be served topped with a meringue, or whipped cream, cooked with a crust or simply with no topping or crust. Whatever way you choose, one thing is for sure Florida knows how to make the perfect pie.
Charley's Steakhouse voted America's number one steakhouse, has been satisfying appetites of all sizes for over 40 years. As well as delectable desserts, the state also serves up some of the most mouth-watering meats. With fresh seafood, classic steaks and the creamiest mashed potatoes this side of the Pacific Ocean, there's something for everyone at Charley's.
One thing is for sure, Florida loves a cocktail. From the classic Pina Colada to a rich Rum Runner, you'll be spoilt for choice with the different colours, flavours and effects served up in bars and restaurants. If cocktails aren't your thing, you'll find plenty of sports bars, pubs and eateries with an ice-cold beer on tap!

Florida is pleasantly warm all year round. Temperatures vary from 15°C to 32°C and hardly ever drop below 7°C. From May to September, Florida is hot and humid during the summer. July sees temperatures at their highest and also has the most sunshine hours. The sea's average temperature reaches around 29°C making it the perfect month for swimming. March to May is warm and attracts slightly fewer tourists than the summer months. Florida rarely gets cold, with temperatures in the winter remaining at around a comfortable 16°C; however, evening temperatures do drop slightly, so you may want to bring along a light jacket.
