Given the nature of some customer feedback, it is particularly advisable to communicate clearly and confirm all details regarding your stay, including any specific park rules or expectations, prior to your arrival. This proactive approach can help ensure a smooth and pleasant experience.

For locals in Missouri, 3 Mile RV Park presents a unique set of considerations. Its primary suitability lies in its practical location and its apparent focus on long-term stays for some residents. For Missourians who might be undertaking home renovations, needing a temporary living situation due to work in the Butler area, or simply seeking an extended retreat in their RV without venturing too far from home, the park offers a convenient option. The reported quiet atmosphere and pet-friendly policy are definite advantages for those who value these aspects in a temporary home.

However, it is crucial for local users to also be aware of the highly contrasting customer reviews. While one long-term resident expresses profound satisfaction with the quiet environment, pet policy, and perceived caring nature of the owner, other reviews detail severe negative experiences, alleging inconsistent communication, unreliability, and problematic interactions with the owner, even escalating to legal threats and claims of slander. These latter reviews paint a picture of significant challenges that prospective residents should seriously consider. Issues such as forgotten approvals for repairs, demands for immediate removal, and personal attacks suggest a potentially unstable and stressful environment for some.

Therefore, while the park's location near major highways and its reported quiet, pet-friendly nature might initially appeal to Missouri locals, especially those seeking long-term options, it is paramount to conduct thorough due diligence. Direct communication with the park to clarify all rules, expectations, and any specific needs is highly advisable. Given the conflicting narratives, a personal visit to assess the environment and interact with the management before committing to a stay, particularly a long-term one, would be the most prudent approach for any local considering 3 Mile RV Park. This park's suitability for locals ultimately hinges on individual priorities and a careful weighing of the very different experiences reported by past guests.

Owner is suffering from age related mental decline. Can’t remember conversations, can’t remember what she approved of, can’t remember what she’s been told, and is completely unreliable. Completely untrustworthy, and you’ll be feeling the pain of the aftermath for months after you depart. Don’t bother with this place, it will cost you far too much to deal with this woman. It has been brought to my attention that the owner is now claiming that I have been arrested and have been calling her from jail. None of that is true, and legal action will be taken to ensure a cease and desist of this slanderous illegal behavior on the part of the owner. The owner said that I could repair my roof. Then she changed her mind or forgot that she said I could repair my roof. She approved of the tarp initially, and only had problems with it after several days. Between her lies about what she approves and her lies about where I went after I left that miserable hell hole, she’s digging herself a deep hole of legal trouble. I’m in a much better park now, with a yard of my own, and I will be allowed to repair my camper here. And it’s even cheaper than 3 Mile! Can’t wait to fix the roof, build a deck, and make a home. Hilarious that she now says tarps aren’t allowed. She approved of the tarp, which was needed for the roof repairs. A few days later she seemed to have forgotten that she’d already talked to me about it and approved of it…because she wasn’t polite saying “sorry I’ve changed my mind, it has to come down”. Instead she was screaming like a Karen about it and demanded that I take it down immediately. I was at work at the time, but as soon as I got free I went and got the tarp taken down. I didn’t argue the point or remind her that she had said it was ok, because she was completely unhinged like a toddler throwing a tantrum, and when adults behave that way they cannot be reasoned with. A few more days after I had complied with her demand to remove the tarp, she calls me again screaming about the fact that the roof repairs had stopped (due to the fact that the tarp had been taken down). She wanted me to get those roof repairs resumed immediately, despite the fact that she would not allow the tarp to be put back up to facilitate the repairs. I tried to explain that the repairs couldn’t resume while it was uncovered/exposed to the rains, but that I’d be happy to get the repairs underway again just as soon as I could figure out some manner of covering it that would meet with her approval. Her response was to demand that the camper be removed from the property in 72 hours. I had it gone in 24 hours. This is the kind of costly and ridiculous drama that this elderly widow routinely subjects her residents to. Do not tangle with this nutjob. There are better places run by better people, not too far away.

This is a very nice rv park. Yes you can fish on the pond, but not after dark . No swimming in the pond either. But above all its peaceful and quiet. Our dogs loved it there so did we. We tried to be helpful to our nieghbors as much as we could. We had a few issues, but never broke the rules. My moms dog inwhich I inherited cause she passed away got out a few times and he had nipped at a few guests as I had a friend staying with us whose two year old wasnt so nice to our dogs. We would love to come back as it's a nice place to live.. would be nice if there was a shower house on the property for those that dont have showers in the camper s.

It was easy to find and a good place to rest for the night. For longer stays, it is best if you have your own bathroom in your camper but we don't. It is just a short 5 minute drive to clean restrooms at Casey's in Butler.

Not family friendly!! Trying to choose a park to stay while my husband works in the area. The prices are good but this park doesn't allow children and the owner was incredibly rude on the phone.
