Blue Heron is such a beautiful place, and it's right on the banks of the White River! I just spent another couple of days there - my first Spring trip for 2025. Michael is so helpful and knowledgeable - I always enjoy talking rvs, fishing, and camping with him. The iris he's created throughout the grounds are up - looking forward to coming back soon and seeing them in bloom!

The people at Blue Heron Campground are some of the kindest and most caring individuals we’ve ever met. My daughter and I got our first camper at this campground, and Mike, the guy who runs the place, went above and beyond to help us. He showed us how to use a few things and even lent a hand when we needed it, which speaks volumes about the kind of people here. It's so rare to find that kind of genuine help in today’s world. While we were there, our beloved 8-9-year-old guinea pig passed away. Mike not only let us bury him at the campground but also went out of his way to make a cross for the grave. That level of compassion and care truly touched our hearts. There are so many more wonderful things I could say about this wonderful campground but I don't want to make the review too long I HIGHLY recommend this beautiful campground to anyone. The river is so beautiful. It was so peaceful here! I hope to visit again someday, and I wish nothing but the best for everyone there. Thank you so much for your kindness and compassion—it’s people like you who make the world a better place!

Everything is as advertised. We loved our 4 nights in cabin 1 on the river front. Everything is clean, and well maintained. The staff is easy to contact, and quick to help. Everything we needed was there. We will be back!

Such a lovely, clean, well managed campground. All the sites seemed very level, and the premium sites on the river had great fire pits. The bathrooms were the cleanest and some of the nicest I have ever seen. The manager, Michael , could not have been more helpful. The laundry didn't require coins and had a nice waiting area with a sofa. There was an out door pavilion with cornhole. We could have connected with a fishing guide through Michael, but realized that too late. Our guide issued by a fly shop was just Ok. I suspect Michael could have done better for us! There is plenty of dog walking areas, and it is close to all outdoor features of the area. It is right next to a high, road bridge, but the noise was not a problem. Peaceful, clean, right on the White river.
