Magnolia Beach RV Park is conveniently located at 352 Margie Tewmey Rd, Port Lavaca, TX 77979, USA. This address places the park within close proximity to key attractions and essential services in the Port Lavaca area, making it a practical choice for RV travelers.
One of the most significant advantages of this location is its nearness to Magnolia Beach itself. Magnolia Beach is famously the only natural shell beach on the Texas coast, offering a unique landscape for beachcombing, fishing, and simply enjoying the coastal atmosphere. While the park isn't directly on the beach, its close proximity means guests can easily drive or even walk to the shore. For those who enjoy free beach camping, Magnolia Beach allows RVs to park directly on the hard-packed shell beach for up to 14 nights, and Magnolia Beach RV Park can serve as an excellent base before or after such an adventure, providing full hookups for dumping and refilling.
Beyond the beach, the park offers good accessibility to the broader Port Lavaca community. Essential services such as grocery stores (including a Walmart Supercenter about 12 miles away) and various dining options are within a reasonable driving distance, ensuring that guests can easily resupply and enjoy local cuisine. The town also offers a Buc-ee's, a popular stop for many Texans, which is always a bonus for travelers.
For recreation and exploration, the park's location provides access to several notable sites. The historic town of Indianola, with its rich past and fishing pier, is just a short drive away. Fishing enthusiasts will appreciate the numerous opportunities for bay fishing in the surrounding Matagorda Bay system. Birdwatchers can explore nearby wildlife management areas, and for those seeking a more developed beach park, Lighthouse Beach Park in Port Lavaca offers additional amenities and activities. The park's address on Margie Tewmey Road ensures relatively easy access for RVs of all sizes, connecting well to the main thoroughfares of Port Lavaca. This combination of coastal proximity and practical access to town amenities makes Magnolia Beach RV Park a strategic choice for your Texas Gulf Coast RV trip.

Both gravel and concrete pads are available, accommodating various RV setups.
-
Included Utilities: A significant advantage, electric, water, sewer, and trash services are all included in the rates. This "one bill solution" simplifies budgeting for guests, particularly those staying for extended periods, as there are no surprises regarding utility costs.
-
Fiber-Optic Wi-Fi: The park advertises fiber-optic Wi-Fi, which is a major plus for modern RVers. Reliable and fast internet access is crucial for communication, entertainment, and for those who work remotely. -

-
On-Site Manager: The presence of an on-site manager, as noted in some park descriptions, suggests that there is someone readily available to assist guests and address concerns. While a past review mentioned no host was found, current information points to dedicated management, which is crucial for smooth park operations and guest satisfaction.

Magnolia Beach RV Park offers several key features and highlights that make it a suitable option for RVers seeking a practical and value-oriented stay on the Texas Gulf Coast.
-
Proximity to Magnolia Beach: The most significant highlight is the park's very close location to Magnolia Beach, the famous natural shell beach. This offers guests easy access to a unique coastal experience, whether it's for shell collecting, leisurely walks, or enjoying the unique atmosphere of a beach where you can even drive and camp directly on the hard-packed shells (though the RV park provides hookups). This convenient access to a distinct Texas landmark is a major draw.
-
Affordable Full Hookup Sites: The park provides full hookups with included utilities (electric, water, sewer, trash, and fiber-optic Wi-Fi) at what are generally considered competitive rates for the area. This makes it an attractive option for budget-conscious travelers and those looking for a transparent pricing structure, especially for extended stays where monthly rates are discounted.
-
Concrete and Gravel Pads: The availability of both concrete and gravel pads offers flexibility for different RV setups. Concrete pads provide a stable and level surface, often preferred by larger rigs, while gravel pads offer a solid base. Many sites also feature concrete side patios, enhancing the outdoor living space for guests.
-
Designed for Long-Term Stays: Magnolia Beach RV Park explicitly caters to long-term guests, including those working on local projects like the Port Lavaca solar farm. They offer discounted monthly rates and emphasize being a "home-away-from-home" for extended stays. This focus ensures that the park’s amenities and policies are geared towards residents who are staying for weeks or months, providing a stable and convenient base.
-
Quiet and Simple Environment: Reviews often describe the park as "clean" and "quiet." While it may not offer extensive amenities like a pool or clubhouse, its simplicity contributes to a peaceful atmosphere. For RVers who prefer a no-frills, calm setting where they can relax and use their own RV's facilities, this aspect is a highlight.
-
Pet-Friendly with a Dog Park: The park's clear pet-friendly policy and the mention of a dedicated dog park are significant features for travelers with pets. This ensures that furry companions are welcome and have a designated area to stretch their legs.
Magnolia Beach RV Park - Port Lavaca Texas offers clear pricing structures and promotions, particularly catering to guests interested in extended stays. While specific, limited-time deals can always change, the core promotional structure is based on the duration of your visit.
-
Discounted Monthly Rates: The park prominently features discounted monthly rates, explicitly stating that they are ideal for long-term stays. This is a common and highly valued promotion for RVers who are looking to stay for a month or longer, whether for work or extended relaxation. The monthly rates typically include all utilities (electric, water, sewer, trash, and Wi-Fi), providing a transparent and budget-friendly option.
-
Inclusion of All Utilities: While not a "discount" in the traditional sense, the fact that electric, water, sewer, trash, and fiber-optic Wi-Fi are all included in the site fees, especially for monthly rates, is a significant value proposition. This eliminates unexpected charges and makes budgeting for your stay much simpler, effectively acting as an ongoing promotion for value.
-
Catering to Contract Employees: The park highlights its experience in hosting contract employees, suggesting that their pricing and policies are well-suited for individuals working on local projects. This focus implies potential flexibility or understanding of the needs of such guests, which could translate into tailored arrangements or extended-stay benefits.

For Texans, whether you're a seasoned RVer or just looking for a practical coastal escape, Magnolia Beach RV Park in Port Lavaca offers a highly suitable option that aligns with the needs and preferences of local travelers. Its core strengths lie in providing essential services, catering to long-term stays, and offering a convenient location for enjoying the unique Texas Gulf Coast.
Firstly, the park’s emphasis on providing full hookups with all utilities included (electric, water, sewer, trash, and fiber-optic Wi-Fi) makes it an incredibly practical and value-driven choice. For Texans looking for an extended stay, perhaps for work in the booming coastal industries or simply to enjoy a longer period by the water, the transparent monthly rates and comprehensive inclusions are a significant financial benefit. This "one bill solution" simplifies budgeting and provides peace of mind, allowing residents to focus on their activities rather than managing multiple utility bills.
Secondly, its location near Magnolia Beach is a distinct advantage for locals. This unique shell beach offers a different kind of coastal experience compared to sandy beaches, perfect for those who enjoy beachcombing, fishing, or simply the serene atmosphere. The park serves as an excellent base for exploring the Port Lavaca area's fishing opportunities, local businesses, and nearby attractions like Indianola. For Texans who love the outdoors and want easy access to the Gulf without overly commercialized surroundings, this location is ideal. The ability to utilize the free beach camping at Magnolia Beach and then return to the park for full hookups is a practical benefit for many adventurous RVers.
Finally, despite a previous mixed review regarding initial site assignment and amenities, the park's commitment to being "clean," "quiet," and "pet-friendly" with dedicated pet facilities underscores its suitability for a wide range of Texans. The presence of an on-site manager and the focus on accommodating long-term guests suggest a park that values stability and community. While not a luxury resort, Magnolia Beach RV Park offers a reliable, no-frills, and well-located option for those who prioritize functional amenities and a peaceful environment on their Texas coastal RV adventures. It’s a pragmatic choice for Texans seeking comfort and convenience without unnecessary extravagance.
Customer Reviews
Really dislike giving low stars. I would have given a one-star review, but the other guests around us were decent. What we saw online that made us lean to reserving a spot at Magnolia Beach RV Park and what we experienced were completely different. Upon arrival, someone else was in the spot we reserved. Not a big deal as we were only staying two nights. So we moved over two spots and contacted the park to let them know. We left a message which was quickly followed up by a phone call from the park. Good customer service. They approved our move so we set up on site six, a back in full hookup 50 amp concrete spot with a concrete side patio and half of a picnic table. What?? Yes, the picnic table along with most picnic tables in the very small park were broken...a tetanus shot would be appropriate before a stay here if you want to use any of the picnic tables. Fragments of trash littered our site, too. Dogs ran around unleashed. There was no host to be found as indicated in reviews. No bathrooms facility as indicated by the website (maybe previous guests rated the wrong park?) We read that the water looked clear...what water? What wifi? We did not get any information about wifi. Advice to owners: either have the website reflect the park or take care of the park. There are only 16 sites and no other amenities except a single dumpster.
Clean quiet. Not fancy but full hook up. Cement pad.
Free camping on the beach. Great rules posted that allows maximum freedom and still keeps respect of others. Was windy in November so canopys a no. Wish more towns had places like this.
Nice little stop on our road trip. Host was friendly and we shared some good conversation. Parking was easy and our spot was level. We stayed here with our Harvest Host Membership. Beach is not very far away.
We have been so happy with our decision to stay here for the week. FHU sites, plenty of space for our 43’ fifth wheel, and the most friendly camp host! Just minutes from Magnolia Beach where you can fish, play in the sand or swim in the bay. They do not have a dump station. So if you need water and to empty your tanks, plan to stay a night. It’s currently $30/night. The hospitality alone would make your stop worthwhile 🙂
