Our Friends Campground II About

For Texans who cherish the freedom of the open road, the beauty of the outdoors, and the comfort of their recreational vehicles, finding the ideal campground is a quest that often leads to hidden gems. A truly great campground offers more than just a place to park; it provides a serene escape, essential amenities, and a welcoming atmosphere. In the heart of Texas, Our Friends Campground II in Kempner stands out as a promising destination for those seeking a peaceful and accommodating camping experience, whether for a brief stopover or a long-term stay.

Campgrounds, as many seasoned travelers and local adventurers know, come in various forms, from rustic, primitive sites to full-service resorts. They cater to a diverse range of preferences, offering everything from tent camping spots to full hookups for large RVs. What sets a truly excellent campground apart, especially for those looking to stay for extended periods, is its ability to blend convenience with a sense of tranquility and community. It’s about creating an environment where campers feel secure, comfortable, and connected to nature, without being too far removed from necessary services.

Our Friends Campground II appears to strike this balance perfectly, as evidenced by glowing testimonials from its long-term residents. Campers have praised its remarkably quiet evenings and nights, making it an ideal spot for restful retreats. The availability of a dedicated dog park is a significant draw for pet owners, allowing furry companions ample space to exercise and explore safely. Furthermore, the consistently positive remarks about the owners underscore a management team that is not only "great people to deal with" but also fosters a respectful and friendly atmosphere among its campers. While some sites might require a little extra leveling effort, the overall consensus points to a well-regarded campground that prioritizes long-term comfort and a peaceful setting, making it a standout choice for those looking to immerse themselves in the Texas camping lifestyle.

I've been at this campground for a year now and 4 years a previous time. It's a great campground for a long-term camper. It's very quiet, especially in the evening and night. My dog loves to be able to run around in the dog park. The owners are great people to deal with.

Good place to stop for a few days. Neighbors kept to themselves mostly, but were friendly. Site was a bit sloped to on side so had to use extra blocks. All utilities were well laid out. Nice sized dog run.Used Elons StarLink for internet without issues.

Friendly staff and a quiet park. Most sites are far from level so have extra blocks. We stayed in the new sites on the back fence 31-39. These sites are on large loose gravel. I had to use 4 wheel drive to back up the incline to the spot because the gravel kept spinning out from under my truck. Sewer connections were super tall so it was hard to drain with a small RV. If you can get one of the older sites it will feel more like camping and less like a parking lot. Still it’s a 4 star for the price.

More like a trailer park with some spots for campers. Full hook up and friendly people. Needs tlc. Large 2" gravel at site, slightly level but not a place where you can sit chairs out. 2 bathrooms need updating and was never stocked with soap, paper towels, toilet paper or anywhere to hang towels or clothes while showering. Camp site is in flood zone during rain event with adjoining neighborhood street water flooding site with mud and debris. Holes in driveway keep you moving slowly

The owners Cliff and Autumn are awesome, my family stayed here for 4 1/2 months after arriving here. The rates are great, they have 2 bathrooms with showers and a laundry room available. The bathrooms could use some TLC, but they are totally functional. Thank you so much Cliff and Autumn you guys are wonderful people. I would absolutely recommend this camp ground if you are in the area.
