This destination offers more than just RV sites; it also features "a few tiny home cabins for rent on the river," providing versatile lodging options for different types of travelers. The park appears to have a forward-thinking approach, with mentions that they "appear to have plans to grow and improve as well," indicating a commitment to enhancing the guest experience over time. Location and Accessibility

Core Creek Marina RV Park/Lodging is located at 329 Core Creek Rd, Beaufort, NC 28516, USA. This strategic waterfront location in Beaufort, North Carolina, positions the park as an ideal base for exploring the rich maritime culture and natural beauty of the Crystal Coast.

The park's primary highlight in terms of location is its direct proximity to the water. Being "located right at the water" offers unparalleled access to Core Creek and, by extension, the larger Intracoastal Waterway (ICW). This is a significant advantage for guests who have boats or enjoy fishing, providing immediate access to prime boating and fishing grounds. The presence of a "private boat launch" further enhances this accessibility, allowing guests to easily get on the water.

While a specific review mentions being in the "shadow of the overpass" (potentially referring to the nearby Beaufort Waterway RV Park, which is literally next door and shares an owner and phone number), which might imply some traffic noise, the convenience of being on a well-traveled road provides excellent connectivity. The park is "close to Havelock and Beaufort," meaning essential services, dining, and shopping are easily accessible. Historic downtown Beaufort, with its charming waterfront, unique shops, and renowned North Carolina Maritime Museum, is just a short drive away. Morehead City, offering a wider array of retail and dining options, is also conveniently close. This is a nice, neat, clean, expensive campground which is best for those who have boats and like fishing. Very nice people. We had a boat tour in Beaufort, NC, and the company canceled the night before because they didn't meet a minimum of 12 people. We had 6, and that tour was the only reason we were there, so I asked for a refund since we were checking out, not needing the extra day. There was only one other motor home, but they were only willing to offer a credit for a future stay. I don't imagine I will go back to that area. Be aware. Check-in and out is 9AM. Also, we got an rv full of ants from this overnight stay. They are located right at the water, and we noticed they were all over the gravel and sidewalk. Now they are all over us! Honestly, this can happen at any location but does need to be treated. There are no niceties here, but the basics are covered, nice, and clean, and they appear to have plans to grow and improve as well.

Richard is an absolute crook. I rented one of his cabins. After I payed for the cabin he then tells me about a surcharge for linens and WiFi. He charged me $40 for linens. When I got to the cabin it was filthy and there were no linens. He finally brought me linens and towels around 10pm. After I checked out he ran my CC for extra money saying I broke his bed and the blinds. In the end he received no $ at all!!! That’s what you get for trying to rip people off Richard. Also the camp ground is right under the bridge; it’s loud every time a car drives over it. There is nothing scenic or peaceful about this place.

What a dump! There are zero amenities. They advertise a shower facility, nope!, 1 shower. They charge $49/week for wifi, that seldom works. And the reason I left early-the place hires felons. The kind I don't want my wife and daughters around. I would not go back, even if it came under new management. There are much nicer campgrounds in Moorehead City.
