It eliminates the hassle of public ramps and allows for spontaneous fishing trips or leisurely cruises, maximizing time spent on the water. For North Carolinians who invest in boating or fishing, the value of this direct access often outweighs the "expensive" label some might attribute to the cost.
Furthermore, the park's commitment to being "nice, neat, clean" provides a comfortable and well-maintained environment. While the concern about ants should be noted and addressed with management, the general upkeep contributes to a pleasant stay. The availability of "tiny home cabins for rent on the river" also broadens its appeal, making it a viable option for those who want the waterfront experience without owning an RV, or for family and friends visiting together.
The convenient location in Beaufort also adds to its suitability. Guests are just a short drive from the historic charm of downtown Beaufort, with its cultural attractions, unique shops, and dining, and are well-connected to other Crystal Coast destinations. This is a nice, neat, clean, expensive campground which is best for those who have boats and like fishing. Very nice people. We had a boat tour in Beaufort, NC, and the company canceled the night before because they didn't meet a minimum of 12 people. We had 6, and that tour was the only reason we were there, so I asked for a refund since we were checking out, not needing the extra day. There was only one other motor home, but they were only willing to offer a credit for a future stay. I don't imagine I will go back to that area. Be aware. Check-in and out is 9AM. Also, we got an rv full of ants from this overnight stay. They are located right at the water, and we noticed they were all over the gravel and sidewalk. Now they are all over us! Honestly, this can happen at any location but does need to be treated. There are no niceties here, but the basics are covered, nice, and clean, and they appear to have plans to grow and improve as well.

Jul 04, 2017 · david clarkRichard is an absolute crook. I rented one of his cabins. After I payed for the cabin he then tells me about a surcharge for linens and WiFi. He charged me $40 for linens. When I got to the cabin it was filthy and there were no linens. He finally brought me linens and towels around 10pm. After I checked out he ran my CC for extra money saying I broke his bed and the blinds. In the end he received no $ at all!!! That’s what you get for trying to rip people off Richard. Also the camp ground is right under the bridge; it’s loud every time a car drives over it. There is nothing scenic or peaceful about this place.
Mar 20, 2024 · Adam LWhat a dump! There are zero amenities. They advertise a shower facility, nope!, 1 shower. They charge $49/week for wifi, that seldom works. And the reason I left early-the place hires felons. The kind I don't want my wife and daughters around. I would not go back, even if it came under new management. There are much nicer campgrounds in Moorehead City.
