As a state park campground managed by the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR), Kiser Lake Campgrounds operates under a standardized fee structure. Unlike private campgrounds, it typically does not offer frequent promotional discounts in the traditional sense. However, there are inherent advantages and potential ways to optimize your camping budget:
- Standardized Affordable Rates: Ohio State Parks are generally known for offering competitive and accessible camping rates, making outdoor recreation available to a wide range of budgets. Specific pricing for electric, non-electric, and tent-only sites is available through the official reservation system.
- Off-Peak Season Camping: Camping during the off-peak season (outside of Memorial Day to Labor Day) or on weekdays often results in lower nightly rates and greater availability compared to busy weekends and holidays. Kiser Lake's campground is open year-round, providing flexibility for off-season adventures.
- ODNR Programs: While not direct promotions for Kiser Lake, visitors can explore broader ODNR programs or memberships (if available) that might offer benefits across Ohio State Parks. Check the Ohio State Parks official website for any loyalty programs or special pass options.
- Group Rates: Kiser Lake State Park also offers specific "Group Camping" sites, which, while not a "promotion," are designed to be cost-effective for larger gatherings, often priced per group rather than per individual tent.
For the most accurate and up-to-date information on camping rates, seasonal variations, and any potential package deals (e.g., for cabin rentals if available), prospective campers should utilize the Ohio State Parks reservation system online or contact the park office directly.

Great spot to camp!! They recently completed a new shower house, which are handicap accessible. There are "real" toilets in there as well. The lake is beautiful and great for fishing, kayaking and swimming. Kayaks and row boats can be rented at the marina. No motor boats are allowed on the lake.
Nice and quaint campground. No showers as of yet. Restrooms weren’t too bad either. Dog friendly. Area to swim and plenty of areas to fish. Marina has a little store with ice and other items to buy.
Great place to get away quiet.
Very well kept camp ground. No shower's on sight but a great swimming beach and lovely fishing. We stayed at site 70 and we were able to fish directly from the campsite. The store is open and has, ice, bate, fire wood and necessitate. I would recommend stopping at a house right outside the park for firewood as you Will get more for your money doing it that way. The potable water they have onsite was coming out a little yellow so we used it for cleaning but not drinking. All in all a good time was had!
First time 5 stay and I'll be back fishing was a little slow
