The people that ran the place were nice! The Campground Should Be CLOSED and Just made into a Park. Campsites Small, Strange Layout, Really Dusty! It's a Public Park So people from town come and go Swimming! Couldn't wait to leave! Overbooked, Called the Next day to Cancel One Lot the City of Kalkaska Would Not Give me my Money back,,! Cost me a fortune to camp there for a week. Left 3 days in. Thanks Kalkaska!! DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS CAMPGROUND AT ALL!!!! 😞
May 25, 2025 · kim andrewsCool place. The sites are all dirt and kind of stumpy. And it’s a small campground. We got our 42 foot 5th wheel parked in back. Everything is old and needs to be updated. Now the good stuff. The lake is very clean and perfect temperature. It’s a 50 yard walk from furthest site about. Ans 20 yards from tent spots. There is 30 amp service. And water to fill up when you pull in and septic service. But not at sites. There is a disc golf course across the street And huge baseball field. With walking trails for dogs. There is a shower house and office. Small playground It’s cheap to stay here $25 a night but next year they will update so I’m sure it will go up.
Jul 22, 2022 · Brent Littleloved the campground. Even though it rained most of the 4th holiday this year, we still enjoyed the place and my grand daughter learned to ride her bike this weekend as well.
Jul 10, 2024 · Beckie BestI had a lot going on so I didn't get put everything on the back burner. It rained on and off for a couple of days. The people running the place were new and still learning how stuff worked. Some of the rules are a bit much but that the trial lawyers fault. I can just imagine what it cost for liability insurance to run a place like that. Good luck ...
Jul 16, 2023 · John YacksVery nice. First time ever there and I will most definitely come back. The disc golf course is awesome too.
