We camped here over the weekend, most sites come with a 120 outlet, 30 amp RV hook up, and a water spout. The bath houses are ok, need to be updated. Wifi available throughout the campsite and resort as a whole. There a gas station, general store, and a restaurant all on the Fontana resort that guest have access too. Apparently the general store is open 24/7. It was $70 per night per camp site which too me seems a little steep. Overall, we would stay here again.

I stayed here a night after spending the previous night at a back country site in the park. Peaceful setting with hot water shower and clean camp sites. Saw a Bald Eagle flying down the tail race!

Nice camping facility, pet friendly. Tent camping as well as trailer hook ups. More tent than trailer spots. Concrete pad with concrete picnic table. Women's bathhouse has 2 toilets and 1 shower. It IS in the mountains.... so watch for bear, rattlesnakes, skunks, copperheads, raccoons, etc. Don't leave food out!

Fabulous, quiet campground right at the base of Fontana Dam by the river. The dam is lit up each night - beautiful! The stars are bright at night and the campground lit only at the bath house. There are two waterfalls on the road in. There is a dump onsite - right at the entrance on the left just as you come in by the chain link fenced building - but no sewer hook ups at the sites. There is 30A service and water at the RV sites only. All sorts have fire pits and tables. A couple of sites, 18 & 20, also have a gazebo over the table. There is WiFi, but it's very weak, slow, and drops a lot. You can only get it reliably at the bathhouse. But seriously, get off your phone and enjoy nature!

Bathrooms are a little dated and beat up. For a standard campground it's pretty decent and clean. It's a nice setting at the bottom of the Dam and nice to see at night. Even more humid than the surrounding area though. I recommend a cold plunge if the water isn't flowing too fast. Reasonable price and the Resort seemed willing to provide free rides quite easily, but don't count on it necessarily. The paid shuttle is convenient as well during operating hours if you don't have a vehicle. Wifi was nice to have given limited service in area.
