This article aims to provide a clear and factual overview of what to expect from this particular mobile home park, drawing on publicly available information to help local West Virginia residents make informed decisions about their housing needs.
Mobile home living can appeal to a wide range of individuals and families. It often provides a more flexible lifestyle, with less maintenance typically associated with larger properties, and can foster a close-knit neighborhood feel. Understanding the specifics of any community, including its location, the services it provides, and what current residents experience, is crucial when considering such a move. Our goal here is to offer a comprehensive guide to Moreland's Trailer Court, ensuring potential residents in West Virginia have the details they need to assess if it aligns with their housing goals.
Moreland's Trailer Court is situated at Ellen Dr, Ridgeley, WV 26753, USA. Ridgeley is a small town nestled in Mineral County, West Virginia, offering a more rural and quiet setting while still maintaining proximity to larger amenities. Its location provides a balance for those who appreciate the tranquility of country living but require access to essential services and employment opportunities.
Ridgeley itself is part of the Cumberland, MD-WV Metropolitan Statistical Area, meaning it benefits from its close connection to Cumberland, Maryland. This proximity allows residents of Moreland's Trailer Court to easily access a broader range of shopping centers, medical facilities, educational institutions, and entertainment options. The area is generally considered car-dependent, meaning personal transportation is typically needed for most errands and commuting.
The local infrastructure is geared towards community living, with essential services within a reasonable driving distance. While public transportation options might be limited, the peaceful environment and the ability to maintain a strong sense of community often outweigh this for many residents. The setting in Mineral County offers scenic views of the Appalachian Mountains and access to various outdoor recreational activities, enhancing the overall living experience for residents who enjoy nature.
When considering a mobile home park, understanding the services provided by the management is key to anticipating the living experience. For Moreland's Trailer Court, like many mobile home communities, the primary service offered is lot rental, which provides residents with a designated space for their manufactured homes. Beyond that, the specific services and their quality can vary.
While information specifically detailing unique features or promotional highlights for Moreland's Trailer Court is limited in public records, we can infer certain aspects based on the nature of mobile home communities and available resident feedback.
It is important for prospective residents to visit the park and speak with current residents to get a firsthand impression of the community and its features.
Information regarding specific promotions or special offers at Moreland's Trailer Court is not readily available in public data. Mobile home parks typically do not offer widespread, continuously advertised promotions in the same way retail businesses might. Any potential offers would likely be related to lease terms or move-in incentives, which can vary based on availability and demand.
It is generally advisable for interested individuals to directly contact the park management to inquire about any current incentives or flexible terms that might be available. These could include:

It is important to note that some public feedback indicates potential challenges in reaching the property owners, Horizon Land Management, directly and that interactions primarily occur with the on-site park manager. For West Virginia locals, particularly those in the Mineral County area and its surroundings, Moreland's Trailer Court in Ridgeley represents a potential housing option that aligns with specific needs and priorities. While it is important for any prospective resident to conduct thorough due diligence, including personal visits and conversations with current tenants, the park's suitability for locals can be viewed through several lenses.
Firstly, the core appeal lies in its offer of affordable housing. In a landscape where traditional homeownership can be increasingly out of reach for many, mobile home parks provide a viable pathway to having one's own space at a more manageable cost. This affordability is a significant draw for individuals and families seeking to reduce their monthly housing expenses, allowing for greater financial flexibility.
Secondly, the location in Ridgeley, WV, offers a blend of rural tranquility and convenient access to essential amenities. For West Virginians who appreciate a quieter lifestyle away from the immediate hustle and bustle of larger cities, Ridgeley provides that serene environment. Yet, its proximity to Cumberland, Maryland, ensures that residents are not isolated from employment opportunities, shopping centers, healthcare services, and educational institutions for their children. The balance of peaceful living with practical accessibility makes it an attractive spot for many local residents.
Thirdly, the community aspect often found in mobile home parks can be a strong draw. While individual experiences can vary, the design of these communities often fosters neighborly interaction and a sense of belonging, which is a value deeply cherished in many West Virginia communities. For those looking to establish roots in a place where they can connect with their neighbors, Moreland's Trailer Court could offer that environment.
Lastly, for West Virginians who enjoy the outdoors, the natural surroundings of Mineral County provide ample opportunities for recreation. The affordability of mobile home living can free up resources for enjoying the hiking, fishing, and natural beauty that West Virginia is renowned for.
In summary, while any housing decision requires careful consideration, Moreland's Trailer Court in Ridgeley, WV, presents itself as a potentially suitable option for local West Virginians prioritizing affordability, a quieter community setting, and convenient access to regional amenities. Prospective residents are encouraged to engage directly with the park management and, if possible, speak with current residents to ensure the community meets their expectations and needs.

I have lived here for over 2 years and I still can’t get anyone to fix the problems in my home. They had one maintenance crew come in and they messed things up even worse and I refuse to let them back in my home. They want to charge more and more money each year and the water and sewage bill is ridiculous for a trailer but they cant get someone that knows what they are doing to come in and fix the work right. Moreland is owned my Horizon Land Management and they are both awful and don’t care about the tenants. There are so many people here that have issues, but they’re too scared to step up. Because when you stand up for yourself, you get an eviction notice. And then they make your life a living hell after I’ve been here for two years, and there has been four different Office Managers, because they try to seem to help. And the people above them won’t let them. I really wish somebody from this company would actually truly care about their residents and actually help us. These pictures I’m attaching are just a few of the issues. The funny thing is the people that came in to fix my Door, and as you can see in the pictures, they didn’t do a very good job. They just made it worse the management once the same people to come in and fix my lights. To funny
Nov 26, 2024 · Kimberly GarciaToo expensive for a trailer park . Full of loud cars with loud music. It's impossible to get hold of the people that actually own the trailer park. They will not answer the phone . Pretty shady when a company owns something and they won't answer the phone . You can only talk to the park manager. Trailer park is also full of cats everywhere . And they spray all over the trailers smells like cat urine everywhere .

Oct 15, 2023 · john pRent spikes, promises not upheld, constantly adding items to your rent, property constantly selling to different owners. It's too expensive to live there especially for a trailer court.
Mar 22, 2022 · Jeni OttGreat place to live if you don't mind the grouchy old people or the people that don't know how to pick up their trash around the house
