This comprehensive article will guide you through everything you need to know about Mulberry Creek Camp, including its prime location and how to get there, the excellent services and features it provides, and how to contact them for your next unforgettable camping trip in Alabama. Let’s dive into what makes this campground a hidden gem in the heart of the Shoals.
Mulberry Creek Camp is ideally located at 2903 Mulberry Ln, Cherokee, AL 35616, USA. This address places it in the beautiful rural landscape of Colbert County, Alabama, within the larger Shoals area. Cherokee, while a smaller community, offers a tranquil setting that is perfect for a camping getaway, yet remains accessible to larger towns and cities.
The camp's most significant location highlight is its direct access to Mulberry Creek, providing "waterfront" campsites and an easy "gentle slope down to water" for activities like kayaking. This direct creek access is a major draw for water enthusiasts and those who appreciate serene views right from their campsite.
While providing a peaceful retreat, Mulberry Creek Camp is also conveniently located relative to the larger Shoals metropolitan area, which includes Florence, Muscle Shoals, Sheffield, and Tuscumbia. This means that campers can enjoy the solitude of nature but still have relatively easy access to urban amenities such as grocery stores, restaurants, supply shops, and medical facilities, typically within a 20-30 minute drive.
Accessibility to the campground itself is straightforward, even for larger RVs. Mulberry Lane is typically a local road, leading directly to the camp, ensuring a smooth arrival. The rural setting contributes to the camp's peaceful atmosphere, allowing visitors to truly disconnect from the hustle and bustle of city life. Despite the tranquility, the presence of "sound of industry nearby" is noted by a guest, indicating that while peaceful, it’s not completely isolated from all external sounds. This is a minor consideration for a location that otherwise boasts exceptional natural access and a quiet environment.
Mulberry Creek Camp is praised for its excellent facilities and attentive service, indicating a commitment to guest comfort. Based on customer reviews and general campground offerings, the services likely include:

Customer Reviews
We were in campsite #1 waterfront. Excellent view of creek. Gentle slope down to water great for easy kayak put in and take out. Bath house was just a few steps away and in excellent condition. Like new! Excellent shower! Best bathhouse we’ve seen. Hosts, Misty and Jason were attentive and friendly. Jason even delayed mowing by our camper while we sat outside. Bonus was we saw bald eagles, ospreys, fox and camp host’s pet Corgi, Bandit! Small negative of site was sound of industry nearby.
I booked my very first ever camping trip here this weekend. It’s so beautiful and peaceful, and the lady that runs it was very friendly. I definitely will be staying here again. Also, shoutout to the family that took me under their wing when they heard I was there solo after my son canceled. You guys helped make this trip enjoyable.
This little campground is amazing. There are two areas, one by the river and one down the road a bit. Just what we were looking for. The owner was so nice and accommodating.
Stayed here for two nights. Absolutely wonderful. Misty treated me very well and helped me get settled in my site. Stayed in the newer section right on Mulberry Creek. Very quiet and peaceful. And even had my own private deck ! The bathroom and shower are brand new and have cedar lined walls. Smells great with the cedar ! I'll definitely stay there again. Update - November 2024. Came back to stay but they were completely full. But since I didn't need any water or power, Misty told me to just drive down the driveway in her campground to park along the river. Was fabulous. Even had a small camp fire the second night. She charged me a very small fee and I still go the WIFI and hot shower in there cedar lined bathhouse. Great stay for my second time there. Will definitely to back !!
Absolutely a beautiful place to camp. Great setups for camper and RVs. Extremely clean and well kept. We tent camped along the creek. There aren’t designated spots for camping and if it hadn’t rained we could have taken the car down for easier set up. It was very peaceful. The facilities look brand new and are very nice. The only change I would make is adding picnic table to the tent area. Even if there aren’t any campers then people from the rvs can have a nice picnic in the water. We will definitely be going back!
