Sargent Beach RV Park is ideally located at 27466 FM457, Sargent, TX 77414, USA. This strategic address places it in Sargent, a charming and laid-back community nestled on the Texas Gulf Coast, specifically on the Island of Sargent Beach. Its unique geographical position between the Gulf of Mexico and the Intracoastal Waterway (ICW) offers unparalleled access to both worlds—the dynamic ocean and the calm, boat-filled channel.
Accessibility to Sargent Beach RV Park is straightforward via FM457, a well-maintained highway that connects to larger routes, making it easily reachable from major Texas cities. For those driving from Houston, San Antonio, or even farther afield, the journey is typically scenic and manageable for RVs of all sizes, including large fifth-wheel RVs and Class A motorhomes. The park itself is incredibly close to the beach; as one reviewer states, it's "only a minute walk to the beach," and some even say "100ft from the ocean." This direct access means no long treks or crowded parking lots to reach the sand. The surrounding area of Sargent is known for its quiet, unassuming charm, with local restaurants and bait camps nearby, adding to the convenience for visitors seeking a genuine coastal experience away from the bustling tourist traps.

Sargent Beach RV Park truly shines with its unique features and highlights, setting it apart as a premier coastal RV destination:
-
Unbeatable Beachfront Proximity: The most significant highlight is its direct and incredibly close access to Sargent Beach. Being "only a minute walk to the beach" and "100ft from the ocean" means you're literally steps away from the Gulf of Mexico. This allows for spontaneous beach visits, early morning walks, and stunning ocean views.
-
Secluded and Unpopulated Beach Section: Unlike more crowded tourist beaches, the section of beach adjacent to this park is "not populated at all." Guests consistently report seeing very few other beach-goers, even during week-long stays, ensuring plenty of room to "space out" and enjoy a truly private beach experience. This is a rare find on the Texas coast.
-
Clean and Well-Maintained Beach: Reviewers praise the lack of "trash strewn about," noting the beach is surprisingly clean for a public area. The owners and even guests contribute to keeping it pristine, reflecting a shared appreciation for the natural environment.
-
Excellent Fishing Opportunities: For anglers, this park is a paradise. One reviewer's husband enjoyed catching "whiting, catfish, drum and a stingray" directly from the surf. The proximity to the Gulf and the Intracoastal Waterway (ICW) provides diverse fishing options, making it ideal for both surf fishing and bay fishing.
-
Beautifully Cared-For Property: The owners' dedication is evident in the park's upkeep. The "grass is fluffy and cared for," and the concrete pads are well-maintained, creating a pleasant and welcoming environment.
-
Small, Intimate Park Size: With "only seven slots for RVs and a few cabins," the park offers an intimate and personal atmosphere. This small size contributes significantly to the feeling of seclusion and allows for a more relaxed stay compared to larger, bustling resorts.
-
Unique Beach Characteristics: The beach itself is described as "not insanely sandy," with the tide keeping it "damp and packed down," which is ideal for walking and setting up beach gear without sinking into deep sand. This practical aspect is a bonus for many beach-goers.

For Texans, Sargent Beach RV Park is an exceptionally suitable destination, offering a unique and highly desirable coastal experience that resonates deeply with those who love the Lone Star State's natural beauty. Its most compelling advantage for locals is the promise of a "secluded beachside RV park" with a beach that is "not populated at all." This is a significant draw for Texans from bustling urban centers like Houston or Dallas who yearn for a genuine escape, a place where they can truly unwind without crowds or noise. The ability to walk "only a minute" from your RV to a vast, uncrowded beach is a luxury rarely found along the busy Texas coast.
The excellent fishing opportunities, with easy access to both the Gulf for surf fishing and the ICW for calmer waters, make it a paradise for Texas anglers. Knowing that you can cast a line for "whiting, catfish, drum," or even a "stingray" just steps from your rig is a major plus for this popular Texan pastime. Furthermore, the dedication of the owners, who are described as "friendly and take great care of this property," aligns perfectly with the Texas value of hospitality and community. This hands-on approach ensures a well-maintained park and a pleasant, welcoming atmosphere.
While the absence of trees for shade might be a minor consideration during the hottest summer months, the overall appeal of a clean, quiet, and uncrowded beachfront setting often outweighs this for Texans seeking an authentic coastal retreat. The small size of the park (only seven RV slots) fosters a sense of intimacy and exclusivity, allowing for a more personal and peaceful experience. Sargent Beach RV Park offers Texans a true "diamond in the rough"—a tranquil haven where they can relax, fish, and enjoy the pristine beauty of the Gulf Coast without distraction, making it a perfect spot to "come back to" again and again.
Customer Reviews
The owners of Sargent Beach RV Park are friendly and take great care of this property. The grass is fluffy and cared for, there’s concrete pads for your RV, dumping, electric, and water on site, and you are only a minute walk to the beach. The beach isn’t insanely sandy (which I love), the tide comes in at night and keeps it all damp and packed down. But during the day, there’s plenty of room with the tide out to set up your stuff. The section of beach where this small RV park is located, is not populated at all. In the week we stayed, there were possibly four other beach-goers that we saw. And they were nowhere near us, as there was plenty of room to space out. There is not trash strewn about. The trash we saw, we picked up to help keep it clean (maybe three of four pieces?). The only downside, if I had to pick one, is that there aren’t any trees around the RVs to block sun and wind. Regardless, we don’t care. We will come back to this small, gorgeous, little known, and secluded beachside RV park. We love it here.
This place is a diamond in the rough. Will definitely be staying there again. They only have seven slots for RVs and a few cabins. It was very clean and they are nicely spaced lots that are 100ft from the ocean. Bring your surf rode as my husband enjoyed the fishing, He caught whiting, catfish, drum and a stingray, all of which he threw back.
This has to be the most peaceful place we have ever stayed. Fell in love with the view and sounds of the ocean. Great fishing and very cool drive over the corkscrew bridge :) Very clean, small laundry room which is perfect because you will want to stay longer! Thank you! We will definitely be back soon.
This place was amazing. The park is so clean and well kept. The views are unlike anything else. Make sure you are prepared! There is nothing around here, except a few dollar stores! Just like we like it! The beaches were our favorite part! We found the most incredible shells, and our dogs could run off leash without bothering anyone cause there wasn’t anyone for miles! My one and only complaint is the mosquitoes. They were so so bad. We weren’t able to be outside for even a minute without multiple mosquitos all over us. (Even with bug spray and citronella candles) Not the parks fault at all! But I think having it sprayed every so often would drastically help. But the mosquitoes just comes with the nature of being in a warm and wet environment! We will definitely be back!
You will not find a better view! Small Rv Park that packs a big punch. Quiet and beautiful. Management friendly and accessible. Great laundry facility. Large sites, roomy cement pads, good connections. Stop by for groceries in Lake Jackson or Bay City on your way in!
