For those of us in Tennessee looking for a comfortable and convenient base to explore Music City or simply enjoy a relaxing getaway, Nashville North RV Resort in Goodlettsville offers a compelling option. This resort strives to provide a welcoming environment for both short-term visitors and those seeking a longer-term stay, blending rural tranquility with easy access to the vibrant energy of Nashville.
Nashville North RV Resort provides a range of accommodation options, from spacious RV sites to cozy tiny cabins, catering to various travel styles. Guests consistently praise the cleanliness of the facilities, particularly the bathhouses, which are noted as "incredibly clean." The staff generally receives high marks for being "sweet and helpful," contributing to a positive and enjoyable experience for many visitors. This dedication to guest comfort and service helps create a friendly atmosphere that encourages repeat visits.
However, it's important for prospective guests to be aware of the campground's location within a floodplain, flanked by creeks. While the staff works to manage this, there have been instances of flooding, as reported by long-term residents. The resort does provide warnings about possible flooding. Despite these challenges, many find the amenities, staff, and overall experience, particularly for shorter stays, to be quite appealing. The opportunity to enjoy a "rural area" while being close to Nashville's attractions remains a significant draw for many travelers and workers in the area.
Nashville North RV Resort is conveniently located at 1200 Louisville Hwy, Goodlettsville, TN 37072, USA. This strategic position in Goodlettsville, just north of Nashville, makes it an attractive choice for campers and RV enthusiasts looking to balance a peaceful setting with easy access to a major metropolitan area.
Goodlettsville itself is a charming city that serves as a northern gateway to Nashville. The campground's location just off Interstate 65 and Highway 31 offers "easy in, easy out" access for RVs and trailers, which is a significant convenience for travelers. This accessibility minimizes travel time and stress, allowing visitors to quickly settle into their stay or embark on their adventures.
The primary advantage of this location is its proximity to downtown Nashville, typically an 18-mile drive. This means guests can readily explore iconic attractions like the Grand Ole Opry, the Country Music Hall of Fame, Broadway's honky-tonks, and various dining and entertainment options without the hassle of navigating city traffic or parking in the heart of the city. The resort also offers a shuttle service, further enhancing accessibility to Nashville's core. While the location provides a rural feel with nearby creeks, it's crucial to note its presence within a floodplain. Information from the National Water Prediction Service indicates that at 14 feet, water begins to flood the Nashville North Campground, requiring road closures and evacuations at higher stages. This is a known environmental factor for the area, and guests should be aware of potential advisories during heavy rain periods. Despite this, the combination of convenient highway access and proximity to Nashville makes it a highly desirable spot for many visitors to Tennessee.

While it has unique considerations, its overall offerings make it a strong contender for local travelers and those needing an extended stay in the area.
One of the primary reasons it's suitable for locals is its strategic location. Situated just north of Nashville, it provides an excellent base for exploring all that Music City has to offer without being directly in the hustle and bustle. For Tennesseans wanting to visit the Grand Ole Opry, catch a show on Broadway, or explore the Country Music Hall of Fame, the resort's quick access to major highways and, crucially, its direct shuttle service to downtown Nashville, make it incredibly convenient. These aspects align with the desire for hassle-free and enjoyable stays that many of us prioritize.
While the historical information about the campground's location in a floodplain is a serious consideration and should always be factored into decision-making, especially during periods of heavy rainfall, the resort's efforts to manage this and its overall amenities still attract many. For those seeking a blend of a rural camping feel with immediate proximity to major urban attractions and the convenience of a shuttle service, Nashville North RV Resort remains a popular and practical choice for Tennesseans looking to enjoy the best of both worlds in our beautiful state.

Stayed in one of the tiny cabins. It was perfect for me and my friend. It would be awesome for a small family as well. The bathhouse was incredibly clean and overall a great experience. Staff were so sweet and helpful as well. We definitely want to come back.
Jun 07, 2025 · marie melonI am in the nashville area for work long term and decided to stay here as I prefer the rural area this campground is located in however this campground is located in a flood plain and is flanked by creeks on 2 sides. From November '24 to April '25 during my stay there were multiple times the camp ground was warned about possible flooding. Finally on April 3rd 2025 around 9am the inevitable happened the dirt embankment holding the creek back broke and in the course of 20-30 minutes half the property was under water with some areas being almost 3 foot deep. This was the second flood in 2 years if you choose to stay here you deserve to know the possibilities of losing everything. The pictures I posted were after I had already pulled multiple campers to safety. The staff in the office were super nice other than Bill who was just a grumpy old man but his lovely dog bean kind of made up for it!! At the cost of 950 and 1200 a month plus electricity it's not worth staying here long term but if you decide to i highly recommend JJ's diner down the road the pancakes are excellent!!
Apr 16, 2025 · Randal NapierWhat a wonderful small campground. The staff were very friendly & helpful. Our site was nice, we got to enjoy the large fire ring with the swings around it! Bathrooms were clean. We will be back!
Mar 28, 2025 · Suzan HowardI was able to book and stay with relatively little notice. I then was able to extend my stay a couple days at a time without any notice. They are very accommodating. And it was a clean park and everything was available. It was also very affordable. The staff was also very pleasant. I will stay here again when I pass through.
Feb 15, 2025 · Penny DaytonFulltimers since 11/18, traveling 1000s of miles around our great nation, giving us an opportunity to visit scores of RV Parks and campgrounds. First time visitors to Nashville North RV park in our 42 ft Montana 5er. Easy quick access from the interstate. Our site was level and wide with limestone base. We did need to drop our trailer due to overall rig length, but able to park our F250 beside the trailer. Nice spacing between lots, with grass area, fire ring and table to make for a comfortable stay. The sites, utilities and roads are very well maintained as was the fire ring and tables. Our utilities were midship making for an easy set up. Hospitality was second to none as we were made to feel welcome that included an escort to our site. Pending our travels, we look forward to returning in the fall and again in the spring as we once again travel our great nation. Also very near fuel stations with easy access.
