Three Springs Campground and RV Park About

For Kentuckians seeking an RV park experience that emphasizes a quiet, rustic setting and proximity to key attractions, Three Springs Campground and RV Park in Sadieville offers a unique option. Nestled in a more "out in the boonies" location, this park appeals to those who appreciate a peaceful escape into nature, away from the hustle and bustle of more developed campgrounds. It’s a place where you can unwind, enjoy the simple pleasures of camping, and still be within reach of some of Kentucky’s most popular destinations, like the Ark Encounter.

Three Springs Campground prides itself on providing a straightforward camping experience. While it may not boast a long list of modern amenities or extensive recreational facilities, it offers the essentials for a comfortable RV stay amidst natural surroundings. For many local campers, the appeal lies in its serene atmosphere and the opportunity to disconnect and relax. It's important to set expectations appropriately: if you're looking for a resort-style RV park with constant activities and paved roads, this might not be your perfect match. However, if a quiet, rustic retreat with friendly staff and a connection to nature sounds appealing, Three Springs Campground could be an excellent fit for your next Kentucky adventure.

Location and Accessibility

Three Springs Campground and RV Park is located at 595 Campground Rd, Sadieville, KY 40370, USA. This address places it in Grant County, a rural part of northern Kentucky, offering a truly "out in the boonies" feel that many campers desire for peace and quiet. Despite its secluded ambiance, the campground maintains good accessibility to major routes.

The park is situated approximately 1.5 miles east of Interstate 75 at Exit 144. To reach the campground, you would go east on Highway 330 for about half a mile, then turn right onto Saylor Point Road, which you follow for approximately 0.5 miles until it ends at the campground gate. While the approach roads, particularly Saylor Point Road and within the campground, have been described as narrow and sometimes challenging, especially for larger RVs, careful navigation is key. This proximity to I-75 means that popular destinations like the Ark Encounter are just a short 10-16 minute drive away, and it provides relatively easy access to larger cities such as Georgetown (about 11 miles), Lexington (about 28 miles), and even Cincinnati, Ohio (around 52 miles). For Kentuckians, this makes it a convenient launching point for exploring the region while enjoying a tranquil home base.

The people who run the campground are incredibly nice. If you like “out in the boonies” then this campground is for you. There is no sewer. They do have someone who will empty your sewer for $10. You have to go down a very narrow road to get the campground. If you meet another RV coming out you are in trouble. There is LITERALLY nothing there for kids to do…unless you want to hike the trails with all of the ticks. The playground is run down and parts are broken and not fixed. You are 16 min from the Ark Encounter which is nice. It would have been better for us to have camped closer to Cincinnati. We would have moved, but they take your money in advance and won’t give your money back. As far as trying to get into your spot and leveling your RV…it is a challenge. The gravel and land are not level. I’m hoping the owners will continue to make improvements.

Three Springs Campground is in great need of fixing up. I would describe it as old and tired. Zero amenities. No sewer hook ups. Couldn’t walk the nature trails as we were covered with ticks when we tried. Stayed here in our 36 foot travel trailer to visit the Ark and museum. We had to drive over narrow cement bridges with no guard rails to get in and out of our site. The maintenance family there was very nice and accommodating. The bathrooms, though old, were clean. Not worth the price.

We spent a few days here to see the sites…Kentucky Horse Park, The Ark Encounter and we also were able to take in some horse racing. This park is set back and nestled in a quiet woodsy atmosphere. The new owner is doing many improvements and repairs. We were quite comfortable and very happy with the site AND the staff!

We enjoyed our rustic cabin off season camping experience. Unfortunately it rained multiple times throughout our visit and our walkway from the cabin to the bathhouse got muddy pretty quickly. Definitely would recommend adding some gravel so it doesn’t get as muddy. Bathhouse was clean and appeared recently updated. Easy access to 75 and a short distance to gas stations or Dollar General. The heating element in the cabin worked well and kept us cozy. Having the single use coffee pot, microwave and dishes available to use was very handy. Location to tourist attractions is reasonable with almost an hour north or south to popular cities. If you needed to contact the owner provided their business number for easy access as well as onsite camp host. Overall, we had a great time

This is a beautiful, quiet campground! There is a little stream that runs through the camp sites, and many picturesque hiking trails. All the sites are surrounded by trees in this peaceful hide away! The owners are very helpful, kind, and take great care of their property. Lord willing, we will definitely be visiting again!
