Buzzard Bay Landing & RV Park, LLC is perfectly situated at 7415 N State Line Rd, Karnack, TX 75661, USA. This unique location places it on the Texas side of the Texas/Louisiana border, nestled in a serene wooded cove of Buzzard Bay on the picturesque Caddo Lake. Its strategic position offers excellent accessibility for RVers, being conveniently "easy on and off I-20," a major interstate highway that traverses East Texas and connects to neighboring states like Louisiana. This makes it an ideal stop for those traveling long distances or seeking a quick weekend getaway from cities like Dallas, Fort Worth, or Shreveport.
Despite its peaceful, somewhat secluded feel, the park's location ensures that essential services and charming local attractions are within reasonable driving distance. The historic town of Jefferson, often lauded as "the most haunted town in Texas," is just a short trip away (around 15 miles), offering unique shopping, dining, and historical tours. The larger city of Marshall, TX, is also accessible, providing more extensive amenities, including grocery stores, fuel, and medical facilities. For those looking to fully immerse themselves in the local ecology, Caddo Lake State Park, renowned for its bald cypress trees draped in Spanish moss and diverse wildlife, is nearby. Customer Reviews
I gave this location a 5 because it is truly a great place to be. Beautiful view of the water, surrounding trees and QUIET. Every morning we awoke to find a dozen or more vehicles parked nearby to launch their boats and we never heard a thing as they did so and drove right by us. We fished from the private dock that was very nice. Saw turtles but didn't catch a thing. Then again, we didn't really try. Just sitting out on the dock looking out over the water and boaters was enjoyable by itself. For RV's there is 3 "pull thru" spots and a dozen or so back in spots all full hookups. Beyond that there are zero amenities. No pool, spa, bait shack, store, office or LAUNDRY and there really is nothing of the sort within miles and miles. But, if you can do without all that, like we could and did, the location is a great trade off.
We had a great time here and wish we could have stayed for more than one night. There are lots of wildlife to see right from your camper, or from the pier. My favorite part was the red fox that roams around, I was lucky enough to photograph it in a light after dark and once more in the morning before we left. Also saw a bird I wasn’t familiar with perched in a tall tree, turned out to be a Mississippi kite according to Merlin Bird ID. The cardinal was right after sunset from the pier.
Great place! Started launching from Buzzard Bay this year because it’s close to my fishing spots. I’ve come to like it so much that I decided to rent the Minnow Bucket ( next weekend) to spend the weekend fishing with my kids for my son’s birthday!
This place is NOT nice. The sanitary water from the septic sprinklers drains all over the property including right by the RV sites and by the cabins. The smell is awful. This is a very popular boat launch, so the boats start lining up well before dawn and they were coming in well past 9pm. Noisy drunks coming off the water. I'll never go near this place again.
Beautiful property, nature left intact! Tons of shade and a lovely doc to fish from. Neighbors and owners are friendly, kind, helpful, and full of great stories and laughs. If you are looking for peaceful, this is your spot!
