Located at 15100 TN-72, this RV park is designed for convenience and functionality. It caters to RVers who prioritize essential services and accessibility over extensive amenities or resort-like aesthetics. If you’re looking for a reliable spot for a quick overnight stay, or a longer-term base in the Loudon area, Express RV Park aims to meet those needs with a no-frills, yet effective approach.

As residents of Tennessee, we understand the varied needs of RV owners, whether you’re passing through on a road trip, relocating, or simply require a reliable place to park your rig for an extended period. Express RV Park seems to fit the bill for those who value practicality and a direct approach to RV accommodation. Reviewers highlight its effectiveness for larger vehicles, such as a 41-foot 5th wheel, indicating its capacity to handle a variety of RV sizes without issues. This adaptability is crucial for many RVers who often struggle to find parks that can comfortably accommodate their larger setups.

One of the standout features consistently mentioned by visitors is the positive interaction with the park's management. Rick, the "property guy," is noted for being "fantastic" and "very friendly," with his hospitality being a significant reason for positive experiences. A "nice manager" and a "quiet park" contribute significantly to a pleasant stay, even if the park's visual appeal isn't its primary selling point. This focus on good customer service and a peaceful environment demonstrates a commitment to making guests feel welcome and comfortable, which is invaluable in any service-oriented business.

While some feedback points to areas for improvement, such as aesthetic attractiveness, close proximity of campers, and occasional odor issues (attributed to a pipe burst and pending repairs), these observations are often accompanied by an acknowledgment of the park's overall utility. It’s described as "perfect for us" for a quick hookup and overnight stay, and "worth it for someone in need of a place to park and stay awhile." This suggests that for its intended purpose – a practical place to park your RV – Express RV Park delivers. The presence of decent restrooms with showers is another key amenity, providing essential comforts that make even a brief stay more convenient.

For Tennessee locals, Express RV Park offers a practical and accessible option when you need a straightforward solution for your RV. Whether it’s a planned stop, an unexpected need for a hookup, or a more extended period in the Loudon area, its focus on functionality and friendly service makes it a viable consideration. Let’s delve deeper into the specific features and conveniences that define the experience at Express RV Park.

Location and Accessibility

Express RV Park is strategically located at 15100 TN-72, Loudon, TN 37774, USA. This address places it directly on Tennessee State Route 72, a state highway that runs through Loudon County. Loudon is a charming city in East Tennessee, situated along the Tennessee River, known for its small-town charm, agricultural heritage, and growing community. The park's direct frontage on TN-72 makes it exceptionally easy to access for RVers traveling through the region.

The location on a state highway ensures excellent connectivity for RVs of all sizes, including larger rigs like 41-foot 5th wheels, as noted in reviews. This ease of access from a main road is crucial for RVers who prioritize minimal navigational challenges, especially after a long day of driving. Loudon, while being a smaller city, provides essential services such as gas stations, convenience stores, and some dining options, which are usually within a short driving distance from the park, catering to immediate needs.

Furthermore, Loudon's position in East Tennessee offers convenient access to larger metropolitan areas. It is relatively close to Interstate 75, a major north-south corridor, providing quick routes to Knoxville to the northeast and Chattanooga to the southwest. This makes Express RV Park a practical stop for those traversing the state or visiting the broader East Tennessee region for leisure or business. The proximity to Watts Bar Lake and Fort Loudoun Lake also means recreational opportunities, such as boating and fishing, are within easy reach for those staying longer.

While the park itself might not be visually "attractive" in a resort sense, its accessibility and functionality from a major road are key selling points. It's designed for practicality, allowing RVers to quickly get in, hook up, and settle for the night, or for an extended period, without unnecessary detours or complicated routes. This straightforward approach to location and accessibility makes Express RV Park a valuable asset for local Tennessee RV owners and travelers alike.

For Tennessee locals, Express RV Park in Loudon presents a highly practical and suitable option for a variety of RV parking needs, especially when functionality, convenience, and a quiet environment are top priorities. It caters to a specific niche within the RV community, making it an excellent choice for those who value efficiency over elaborate amenities.

Firstly, its suitability for locals lies in its straightforward "no-frills, but effective" approach. Many Tennesseans who own RVs are not always seeking a resort experience; sometimes, they simply need a reliable, easy-to-access place with full hookups. Express RV Park fits this perfectly, offering a direct solution for overnight stops, temporary staging during a move, or a longer-term base in the Loudon area. Its ability to accommodate large rigs, like a 41-foot 5th wheel, without issues is a significant plus, as finding such space can sometimes be a challenge in other parks.

Secondly, the consistent praise for the manager, Rick, as "fantastic" and "very friendly," highlights a key aspect of its suitability. Positive interactions with park staff significantly enhance the overall experience, providing a sense of welcome and reliability that is highly valued by locals. Knowing that there's a helpful and accommodating person on-site to assist with any issues makes a stay much smoother and more pleasant, fostering trust and encouraging repeat visits.

Furthermore, the "quiet park" atmosphere is a major draw for locals seeking peace. Whether you've been on the road all day or are settling in for an extended period, the ability to relax in a calm environment, undisturbed by excessive noise, is a significant benefit. This quietude, combined with the presence of "decent restroom with showers," provides essential comforts for a comfortable stay, even if the overall aesthetic is utilitarian.

Finally, for those who might need a place to "park and stay awhile," Express RV Park offers a practical and potentially cost-effective long-term solution. Whether it's for temporary work in the area, a transitional housing phase, or simply a desire for an extended stay in a specific location, the park's focus on long-term parking makes it a valuable resource for local RV owners. While aesthetic appeal might not be its strong suit, its effectiveness, quiet nature, and friendly management make Express RV Park a highly suitable and reliable choice for many Tennessee locals needing a functional and peaceful spot for their RV.

Rick the property guy was fantastic, very friendly. The place is not attractive, but effective. We parked our 41foot 5th wheel without issues. If you need a quick hook up and a night stay it was perfect for us. Thank you Rick for your hospitality.

The Pros: Nice manager, quiet park, decent restroom with showers. The Cons: SMELLS BAD OF URINE, but I heard there was a pipe burst during the freezing temps and they got a work order put in to fix it. The park is very small, and campers are very close together, not much parking for your vehicle. But it's worth it for someone in need of a place to park and stay awhile.

Great spot off the Loudon Hey 72 exit. Not a full site however it is 20kins from Knoxville and 10mins from Lenoir City. It's quiet and there is a dump station and shower room.

Owner could use an attitude adjustment. Lot rent is ridiculous, considering the bath house is accessible by key only, which you have to ask for each time. Time limited on bath house access. Lots are so small and compact. Only good things are location and friendly neighbors.

The park is next to a motel where large semi trailers with refrigerator containers are parked for the night and their generator works all night. If you like a quiet place check in advance if semi trailers will be there at night. Otherwise stay away from this place. The people at the office were very nice at registration but stay away from the rude night shift clerk. Showers are not probably maintained. Internet connection is good.
