Apr 19, 2025 · Wade Duplessis, Sr.🌲 Grand Texas RV Resort Very full park. LOTS of full time residents, I think I’d bet that only a handful of full of campers were actually “visitors” there’s a school bus for the kids if that says anything 🤣 I guess this is what families are doing these days. It’s not bad though. Most of the sites are well kept and don’t look trashy. The laundry room was super convenient and clean as well as the public restroom. I’m sure in the summer the pool area is filled with kids it looks really nice too. Lots of walking areas, there’s a dog park in the back corner, from where we were it was a nice little walk 🤣 Several doggie bag trashcans and they were clean and not smelly! Yay. A walk around the perimeter of the paved road around the park is approximately 1/2 mile. The waterpark is across the street and I assume this is where people would want to stay if they are planning a weekend at the park. Book early, I think this place would fill up fast in the summer. Management rides around on the golf cart throughout the day which is nice. We never came across any people here who were rude, there’s lots of dogs but it seems everyone is responsible pet owners and cleans up after them. We would definitely choose to stay here again if life brings us back this way 🤩
Jan 25, 2025 · MrsThorneAfter Hurricane Harvey flooded our home in 2017 and Imelda in 2018 this was our home for a couple of years while we regrouped, rebuilt and sold. The grounds were clean and the park was quiet. It was perfect for our needs.
Dec 19, 2024 · E.J. HowardGrand Texas is a nice place to stay. They offer a lot of things to do and are close to everything you need. Family oriented and overall very nice people live here long term. The staff are friendly and very welcoming.
Apr 24, 2025 · P MarshburnMy wife and 2 boys have lived here for 2 years. We have lived in the back of the resort and the front of the resort. I would recommend living in the front of the resort if you can. When we lived in the back my wife's car got broken into (she left it unlocked) and gun stolen out of it. That is the only issue we have had in 2 years. The owner is vigilant when it comes to keeping sketchy people out of the park. The owner listens to people's concerns when they express then. However, he assumes everyone knows who he is and thinks he can talk to people any way he pleases. I am still waiting on an apology from him for how he approached me about my truck that I inherited from my recently deceased dad. He threatened to tow it if I didn't get it fixed which I was in the process of doing. He called it a piece of shit while me not knowing who he was. That being said he has a staff that makes up for it. Every single person on the staff are friendly and good people. They are good at their jobs. The owner and manager are always trying to make the resort better for guests. They enforce their rules so make sure you follow them. They are very reasonable rules. No reason they shouldn't be followed. They have a community mindset and have a lot of people who live in the park full time like myself. People make friends here and it's like living in a neighborhood. I would highly recommend this park whether it's for a short period of time or a long period of time. They offer a variety of site sizes and prices are reasonable. I recommend staying on the north and east side of the park for weekend stays since the park is located next to a race track. You can't hear it on those sides. They have basketball, tetherball, a pool with a slide and a jacuzzi, a play ground, multiple BBQ areas, a nature are to walk, dog park, and a community center for kids and adults with a pool table, fooz ball, ping pong, numerous tvs, a cardio center, and computers for use. Come stay here and join the family. Shout out to Penny (manager). She is a great worker. As are the rest of the staff. She needs a paid vacation.
