The campground's most defining locational feature is its direct proximity to Hugo Lake, a prominent recreational area managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Hugo Lake is known for its vast expanses of water, including the Kiamichi River, offering 110 miles of shoreline and ample opportunities for water-based activities. The dam's main purpose includes flood control and water storage, but it has beautifully evolved into a recreational oasis.

Love the camp sites , the area is great. But why the 1 star rating ? The camp host has a lot to be desired. He kept saying they don't pay overtime Well, dude, you are the one who signed up for the job. You are the one that bid for the job and got it. You kept saying you had to be up and open the gates by 6 am . We were by there several times, and NO ONE was at the gate. You didn't have to be rude. Other than that one rude gate attendant, it was a quiet, peaceful place.
Jun 09, 2024 · Nancy JOnly complain here was that there were those bugs that are attracted to your light so I had to keep the camper light on the outside off and not turn the lights on until you close the door. I believe it was 18 bucks. Electrical had a spicket fire pit barbecue grill Lakeview and free firewood
Sep 27, 2022 · Rachelle GarciaThis campground was VERY DISAPPOINTING! The restrooms were far from the campsites. The toilets DIDN'T FLUSH! VERY SMELLY TOO! We reserved J 9 through recreation.gov. We will not be staying here tonight or EVER!
Mar 05, 2025 · Pat RoszmanVery nice RV park. Not crowded and very quiet. The sites are well spaced.
Apr 22, 2024 · Timothy SmithThis is a quiet little Corp Park in Hugo Oklahoma. We stayed in the Juniper area. All campsites on Juniper backup to the water. They have concrete pads. Our site was very level - (site J6). Some of the sites have a covered picnic table. We have a 40 Motorhome, this site was capable of accommodating our coach and our small Kia. Our site had good Verizon signal also.
