Welcome, New Hampshire residents! While the White Mountains are known globally for their majestic beauty and vast wilderness, sometimes you're looking for a vacation experience that combines that natural splendor with a wealth of family-friendly activities and modern convenience. Jellystone Park™ Glen Ellis offers precisely this unique blend, making it an ideal local destination for a weekend escape or a full-week adventure without the hassle of long-distance travel.
This well-known campground provides a diverse range of lodging options, from traditional wooded campsites perfect for a classic tent or RV experience to luxurious, comfortable cabins that offer all the amenities of home. It has established itself as a vibrant, engaging park where the focus is firmly on creating lasting family memories. The setting itself, nestled in the scenic terrain near the heart of the Mount Washington Valley, is spectacular, providing a quintessential New England outdoor experience. For families in New Hampshire, it serves as a convenient, high-quality destination to reconnect with nature and enjoy dozens of planned activities led by the famous Yogi Bear™ and his friends. It is a large, feature-rich park designed to keep every member of the family entertained, from the littlest adventurers to seasoned campers.
The experience here is often described by local visitors as a 'mini-vacation' that feels worlds away from everyday life, despite being just a short drive for most residents in the region. The park’s commitment to cleanliness and a high standard of comfort is evident in its well-maintained facilities and accommodations, including available ADA-compliant cabins for accessibility, ensuring that a comfortable stay is achievable for all guests. While the park is vast and offers a distinctly woodsy feel in many areas, note that some specialized sites, such as certain ADA cabins, may be grouped in a 'meadow area,' offering a different—less wooded—ambience.
Location and Accessibility
Jellystone Park™ Glen Ellis is strategically located deep within the scenic landscapes of the White Mountains region, making it easily accessible for families across New Hampshire. The official address is 83 Glen Ellis Campground Rd, Glen, NH 03838, USA. This location places it perfectly for exploring local attractions, hiking trails, and the natural beauty that defines our state. The park itself is situated to take advantage of the natural surroundings, including vital river access, allowing guests to enjoy the tranquility of the water, whether for relaxing by the bank or simple exploration.
Given the sheer size and abundance of activities spread throughout the property, guests frequently find that mobility around the grounds is key to maximizing their experience. While walking is certainly an option, the park's size often prompts visitors to note the convenience of renting a golf cart. This amenity is highly recommended by frequent guests, allowing families to explore the entire campground and quickly move between their site or cabin and the various activity zones, pools, and the Camp Store. Accessibility within the park is generally good, though guests should be aware that the main areas may lack traditional sidewalks, meaning travel is typically on the paved roads shared with cars, RVs, and golf carts, or on the surrounding grass areas.

We stayed at Jellystone Glen Ellis on 9/5-9/8 which was the first weekend ‘off season’ with two parents and two children aged 10 and 11. Overall this was a nice little weekend getaway. There were great aspects and definite areas with room for improvement given the high price. I think we will revisit Jellystone, but likely at a sister location. * We loved: Jumping pillow Unlimited free mini golf (only partially wheelchair accessible, holes 0-4 and 13-18). The camp store (though items were pricey, $45 dollars for a children's hoodie) The river access Tie dye activity, $18 dollars for a tee shirt and activity The scavenger hunt is super fun The Picnic Basket food truck * Of Note: Cabin was clean and comfortable. We stayed in an ADA cabin. While the ADA cabin met our needs, these were the only cabins onsite lacking screened in porches. These sites were also grouped in ‘the meadow area’ which lacked the wooded feel of camping. Our site’s benches and fire pit were located almost directly on the road which was disappointing. * Disappointments: The water zone includes the main pool/play splash area and is closed immediately after Labor Day, though at other locations remains open through September. They do maintain a smaller ‘activity’ pool but is does not have access for swimmers with disabilities needing a pool lift. For us, it was a major unexpected curveball. The staff can be unaware of the locations own posted check in and out times, which resulted in some hiccups but they were responsive and accommodating. There are no sidewalks in the main area, giving you the option to walk in lumpy grass or the paved road with cars, RVs, and golf carts zipping by.
Sep 09, 2025 · Katelin SellersThis campground is very big! With lots of things for the kids to do and for the family to enjoy. 4 adults and 2 kids enjoyed a cabin near the river. The location was perfect but I definitely recommend spending the extra and renting a golf cart to explore the campground and get to places quickly! The cabin was beautiful and we enjoyed having the screened in porch. I do recommend if renting linens to double check what size beds are in the cabin you are renting because the pictures didn’t give an accurate representation and it wasn’t listed anywhere. We can’t wait to go back!
Sep 04, 2025 · Brittany BennettBeautiful destination for summer fun with kids (and adults!). Lots of great activities everyday, pools and water splash. Night events are super cool for kids and adults. If you are looking for peace and quite space, you should find a space far from the common areas, as during summer the place is packed and kids are playing around. The river is stunning and views are so nice. We camped with tents and it was super chili in the night, so pack extra blankets or a good sleeping bag. I would love if they could offer coffee options, but I noticed there is a coffee shop right outside the property, in front of the road. Overall, super great time, amazing area. Really worth it.
Aug 20, 2025 · Carla RammeWe absolutely loved our recent stay at Jellystone Glen Ellis! The campground is beautiful! Our cabin was clean and had everything we needed for our 4 night stay. We especially loved that our kids could be so independent. They are 10, eight, and six, and when they woke up in the morning after a quick breakfast, they would get on their bikes and zoom around to find other kids. They loved going into the Ranger station and planning out what they were going to get for their souvenir. All of the staff at the campground were friendly and fantastic, but Mary Ann at the Ranger station was really special. She went out of her way to be patient with the kids and to give love and treats to our dog. What a lovely person. She seems to really genuinely enjoy her job every day and it was always a pleasure to chat with her at the Ranger Station. In addition to the beautiful scenery, the refreshing pools and river, and countless activities, the wonderful staff like Mary Ann at Jellystone really made it a 5 star experience! We did not want to leave!
Aug 08, 2025 · Erin LeveringI came with my wife, daughter, son in law, and 2 young granddaughters. We arrived at the start of a heat wave and were not impressed immediately with the air conditioning in the cabin 004. They did look at it , cleaned the filter but it was still weak. They did give us a couple box fans. We ended up going out and buying a few more oscillating fans. The ac did seem better the next day. We made it through. Over all it was a decent experience, park is nice but it is pricey. Just saying that if they are charging top price , everything should be operating in top condition. The shower head in the cabin was useless and the water would puddle outside the shower floor due to a design flaw and curtain improperly positioned. Definite mold producer there. Just figured there would be more details given the price paid for 5 nights 2k+.
