As a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) campground, Fall Creek Campground generally operates under the national fee structure and discount programs applicable to federal recreation sites. While specific short-term promotional offers are uncommon for these campgrounds, several established discount passes can significantly reduce camping fees for eligible individuals.
The most common and widely accepted discount passes at USACE campgrounds include:
-
America the Beautiful – The National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands Pass Series:
-
Senior Pass ($20 annual / $80 lifetime): Available for U.S. citizens or permanent residents 62 years and older. This pass offers a 50% discount on camping fees at federal campgrounds, including Fall Creek Campground.
-
Access Pass (Free, lifetime): Available for U.S. citizens or permanent residents with permanent disabilities. This pass also provides a 50% discount on camping fees.
-
Military Pass (Free, annual): Available for active U.S. military personnel and their dependents. While it grants free entrance to federal sites, it typically does not cover camping fees, but it's always worth confirming if any specific camping discounts are associated.
-
Volunteer Pass (Free, annual): For individuals who accrue 250 hours of volunteer service with federal agencies. Similar to the Military Pass, it often covers entrance fees but typically not camping.
-
4th Grade Pass (Free, annual): For 4th graders and their families. This pass covers entrance fees but generally not camping fees.
-
-
Extended Stay Rates: While not a "promotion" in the traditional sense, USACE campgrounds often have established rates for longer stays (e.g., weekly or monthly rates) that can be more economical than daily rates, particularly for seasonal campers.
It is highly advisable for campers to check the official Recreation.gov website (which handles reservations for USACE campgrounds) or contact Fall Creek Campground directly via the provided phone number to confirm current rates, specific discount applicability, and any potential changes to policies. These passes must be presented upon arrival to receive the discount.

Customer Reviews
Loved it! Very relaxing, clean, quiet...a great get away. Only complaint - the steep boat ramp. A difficult climb for many. The overall area was beautiful! The lake is clear and there are many coves to enjoy! Take note: we did find a scorpion at our site.
Beautiful small (9 or 10 sites) campground located at the end of a peninsula, at the end of a somewhat steep, blacktopped country road. Surrounded on three sides by water where Fall Creek meets Lake Cumberland. The sites are tight, with not a lot of maneuvering room. I'm going to say that this campground is not really big rig friendly. We pulled our 27 ft 5th wheel in and went back and forth a lot to get into our site. Fortunately, since all the other sites were vacant, we were able to utilize the other sites as maneuvering room. The dump station is really difficult to get into too! Pull forward, back up hill, sharp angle. Sites are electric and water only. Gravel base, lots of shade, level. Very well kept and clean. We were there on a Tues night in mid-August, other than the hosts and a tent, it was empty and so so quiet. On the weekends in the summer, expect a LOT of boat noise as this is a very popular "party" lake with tons of boat traffic. I live here, so I know how it is. We don't even go anywhere on the lake on a Saturday it's just so crazy. Stray cats wandering around. Kind of sad. 1 bar on Verizon.
Excellent campground to get away and find some serenity. Only 9 campsites and all are pretty roomy. I can't see a 5th wheel getting in there very easily because of the turn around. Boat ramp is very close to campsites but there's only about 10 or so parking spots. Hookups are good, the bathroom and shower are good, but there's no Wi-Fi/Internet. No wood for sale and no ice. Would easily be a 5 star with WiFi, wood and ice.
Wonderful hidden gem,it's a small campground with 10 sites and not a bad view at any of them as far as I could see. Bath house/restrooms where clean.the camp host Donna was amazing.only thing missing is a beach or swimming area..we will be visiting again.
Fall Creek Recreation Area is a great place to launch a small boat, camp with your family or spend the day exploring the lake, having a picnic and letting the kids play.
