Furthermore, it borders "one of America's top 10 family fun vacation destinations, the beach resort of Ocean City, Maryland," offering the best of both worlds – peace and quiet with easy access to bustling attractions.
Accessibility to Lost Lands RV Park from various points in Delaware is quite straightforward. From central Delaware areas like Dover, it's typically about a 1 hour and 15-minute drive, primarily using US-13 South and then connecting to US-113 South. For those traveling from northern Delaware, like Wilmington, the drive would involve routes leading to the southern part of the state, often via US-13 S or DE-1 S before connecting to local roads in Selbyville. The park's website emphasizes its secluded nature while highlighting its quick access to the beach.
Upon arrival, the park's design accommodates RVs with ease. The internal roads are well-maintained, and the sites are described as "open spaces" and large in size, with all sites being a minimum of 2,000 square feet (approximately 50' x 40'). This ample space ensures easy maneuvering for RVs, including those with 5th wheels or travel trailers. The park strictly enforces a 5 MPH speed limit within its grounds, contributing to the quiet and safe environment highlighted by visitors.
Lost Lands RV Park prides itself on providing a comprehensive suite of services and hookups to ensure a comfortable and convenient seasonal stay for its campers. Septic Hookup: Direct septic hookup is provided at each site, included in the site cost, eliminating the need for frequent trips to a dump station.
Water Hookup: Potable water hookups are available at every site, also included in the site cost.

Telephone Hookups: Many sites also offer telephone hookups, catering to those who may require landline access.
Winter Storage Onsite: A significant convenience for seasonal campers, RVs are permitted to remain on site during the off-season at no additional charge, provided the down payment for the next season has been paid. This saves campers the hassle and cost of relocating their RVs for winter.
Boat/Watercraft Storage: Boats and watercraft may be parked in a designated boat parking area at no charge, providing a secure spot for your recreational vehicles when not in use.
Pet-Friendly Environment: The park allows up to 2 pets per site, welcoming furry family members. However, aggressive dogs and aggressive breeds (such as Pit Bulls, Dobermans, and Rottweilers) are prohibited, and guests are not permitted to bring pets, ensuring a safe environment for all residents. There are also common areas for walking dogs.
Shed and Deck Permissions: Campers are permitted to build sheds (limited to 8'x8'x10') and decks (built in 4'x8' sections) in accordance with Sussex County laws, allowing for customization and enhanced living space at your site. Silver-top screen rooms are also permitted, and Lost Lands is an authorized dealer for these.
Lost Lands RV Park offers a range of features and highlights that contribute to its appeal as a cherished seasonal destination for RV owners in Delaware.
Quiet Country Setting: A primary highlight, consistently mentioned in reviews, is the park's tranquil, quiet country setting. This offers a peaceful escape from the everyday hustle, allowing campers to fully relax and enjoy the sounds of nature. "Nice and quiet" is a recurring theme from satisfied visitors.
Spacious Sites: Unlike many RV parks with cramped spaces, Lost Lands boasts "open spaces" and large site sizes, with a minimum of 2,000 square feet (approx. 50' x 40'). This generous spacing provides privacy and comfort for each RV and any accompanying structures like decks or sheds.
Friendly Community Atmosphere: A strong sense of community is a major draw. Reviews highlight that "the other campers are so friendly," and many have "made many friends here." This fosters a welcoming and neighborly environment, perfect for long-term seasonal stays.
Community Pool: A valuable amenity, the park features a community pool, open daily from Memorial Day through Labor Day (at minimum). This provides a refreshing way to cool off and socialize, particularly appealing during the warm Delaware summers. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult at the pool.
Nature Trails: Embracing its "location close to nature," Lost Lands RV Park offers nature trails for residents to "enjoy the natural wooded beauty of Sussex County." These trails provide an ideal opportunity for outdoor activities, walking, and observing local wildlife such as deer, turkey, squirrels, and fox.
Proximity to Beaches and Attractions: While offering a serene setting, the park's location is just minutes from Fenwick Island's quiet beaches and the more vibrant attractions of Ocean City, Maryland. This convenient access allows for day trips to the boardwalk, dining, shopping, and various recreational activities.
Well-Maintained Facilities: Despite its rustic setting, the park is described as "clean" by visitors. This attention to maintenance ensures a pleasant and comfortable experience for all residents.
On-site Management: The presence of responsive management, like owner David Simpson who has been running the place for nearly two decades, contributes to the "good service" experienced by campers. This continuous oversight helps maintain the park's quality and friendly atmosphere.
Lost Lands RV Park primarily caters to seasonal campers, and its "promotions" are structured around its seasonal rates and the comprehensive package of services included. It does not offer short-term or transient camping, focusing on extended stays from spring through fall.
Seasonal Site Rates: The primary "offer" is its competitive seasonal rates. For the 2025 season, seasonal sites are available from April 25th through October 5th (with an extended season through November 2nd), starting at $4,750.00. This provides a clear, upfront cost for the entire season.
All-Inclusive Seasonal Package: The seasonal rate is comprehensive, including water, sewer, and electric hookups (50-Amp & 30-Amp Service plus 20-Amp Auxiliary Receptacle), telephone hookups (most sites), cable/internet hookup, and winter storage onsite. This bundling of services represents significant value and simplifies budgeting for seasonal residents.
Complimentary Winter Storage: As mentioned, RVs are permitted to remain on site during the off-season at no additional charge, provided the down payment for the next season has been made. This is a valuable perk, saving campers storage fees and the effort of moving their RVs off-site for the winter months.
Free Boat/Watercraft Parking: The availability of designated boat and watercraft parking at no extra charge is another benefit for those with recreational vehicles, adding to the value of a seasonal site.
Prospective campers interested in a seasonal spot should contact Lost Lands RV Park directly to inquire about current availability, detailed rate information, payment plans, and any specific requirements regarding RV age or type. The park has restrictions on "RV-Certified Park Models" needing to be self-contained with specific toilet types, and 12-wide RVs are prohibited. Love it here!! My sister has a very nice spot here and I’ve been here many times, always a great time , nice and quiet , clean and the other campers are so friendly I’ve made many friends here.
Lost Lands RV Park is a great campsite with open spaces and full facilities. The location close to nature provides an ideal opportunity for outdoor activities and enjoying the tranquility.
Lost Lands is strictly seasonal. We have enjoyed 2 years here. People are friendly . There is a pool onsite and occasional group Activities for the tenants of Lost Lands. Close to the beach on Fenwick Island, it is between Bethany Beach and on the northern Border of Ocean City , MD.
So much room on the lots, friendly and quiet Always good times with everyone.
Literally the worst place to pay $4000.00 to spend money for trash. But what do expect when you first drive in and see trailer park trash lawn ornaments. A woman chasing a man with a rolling pin ? Like does that sound like “hey guys come and have a great experience?” The posted speed limit is 5mph so if you go over it by even .5 mph over the real Karen emerges from the woods to hunt you down and scream at you like a wild banshee…I get watching out for pets and kids (especially her pet snitches) but I mean if I have to hit my gas just to move my truck forward than leave me alone. There’s nothing there to do but swim in a pee infested pool that closes at 6pm that’s right next to her house(weird). You don’t even have a fenced in area for dogs and kids to play. Karen is a money grubbing crab; her husband is chill and her son is cool (which is the only reason they get 1 star). There could be a community garden, playground, or dog park but there’s nothing. On their website it says they have things every now and then but when? Once every five years? You want everyone to pay you money so you can sit back and do nothing but ruin someone’s vacation. But hey, if you feel like being harassed when you pay to be somewhere or if you want to go on vacation to have the whole family step on eggshells when they arrive than this is the place for you.
