Services Offered

RV parks aim to provide essential services that make camping comfortable and convenient for their guests. Based on common offerings for RV parks in Illinois and implied by the nature of such a facility, Northtown RV Park likely offers a range of services designed to meet the needs of recreational vehicle owners:

  • Full Hookups: Most RV sites at Northtown RV Park would offer full hookups, which typically include electrical service (ranging from 30 to 50 amp), water connections, and sewer hookups for waste disposal directly at each site. This is a primary convenience for RVers, eliminating the need for frequent trips to a dump station.

  • Spacious Sites: RV parks often provide sites that are large enough to accommodate various sizes of RVs, from travel trailers to large motorhomes, often with enough space for slide-outs and an outdoor living area.

  • Trash Disposal: Conveniently located dumpsters or trash receptacles would be available for guests to dispose of their waste, as suggested by the customer review mentioning the dumpster.

  • Pet-Friendly Environment: Given that RV travel often includes pets, it's common for RV parks to be pet-friendly, though they will typically have rules regarding leash laws, waste cleanup, and potential breed restrictions. The review mentioning "loud barking dogs" suggests that pets are present and likely permitted, with management needing to address specific issues.

  • On-Site Management/Support: The presence of an "owner" who is willing to "do anything for ya" as mentioned in a positive review, points to dedicated on-site or readily available management that can assist with issues, provide local information, and ensure a pleasant stay for guests.

  • Long-Term Stays: Given the mention of "people live there" in one of the reviews, Northtown RV Park likely accommodates both short-term visitors and longer-term residents, providing solutions for those needing extended stays in the area.

Its seems like a very nice place to stay. My 2 issues were 1-with 2 young girl (children) who were very rude as i was throwing trash out. They were holdin there fingers up like guns yelling at me to give them all my money, each time i had to walk past them. 2- loud barking dogs locked inside of the trailer closest to the dumpster scared me. They barked the entire time and growled at me when i went to the dumpster. Who ever owns this place needs to do better background checks before letting people live there!!!

We spent the weekend of the 2017 eclipse here. Greg, the owner, was friendly and helpful. Our 40 foot motorhome had no problems getting in and out of campsite. This place is quite, clean and close to amazing State parks. We will be back.
