For those who embrace the flexible, minimalist lifestyle of RV living, finding a high-quality, well-located park in Central Pennsylvania can be a challenge. The Paradise Mobile Home Community, situated on Mountain Road in New Bloomfield, PA, offers a distinctive solution. While primarily a mobile home community, it functions as a welcoming base for those utilizing Recreational Vehicles, particularly those seeking a clean, stable, and long-term or seasonal option rather than a short-stay campground experience.
This community is highly regarded by its residents for its cleanliness and well-maintained grounds, fostering a sense of pride and peace among those who call it home. It provides a structured, quiet environment that stands in contrast to the often transient nature of typical commercial campgrounds. The park is nestled within the beautiful, rolling terrain of Perry County, offering residents a serene, countryside setting that truly feels like an escape from urban bustle. The key appeal lies in the stability, the reliable infrastructure, and the direct connection to the vast natural resources of the area.
However, local residents should be aware of a recent development mentioned in a public review: the park’s acquisition by an out-of-state investor. As a local prospective resident, this is an important factor to consider, as changes in ownership often lead to shifts in policy, management style, and, most notably, rental rates. While the current reputation is excellent—citing a lack of troublemakers and a well-kept appearance—anyone considering an RV space should inquire about the new owner’s long-term vision and any planned increases in lot fees to ensure the financial arrangement remains suitable for their budget. The combination of a strong current community and the necessity to adapt to new ownership defines the current climate of Paradise Mobile Home Community.
The Paradise Mobile Home Community is perfectly positioned for Pennsylvania locals who value both convenience and access to the great outdoors. Located at 50 Mountain Rd, New Bloomfield, PA 17068, USA, the community is nestled in the heart of Perry County, offering a truly rural yet accessible living environment.
Its location is described by residents as "good location between Duncannon and New Bloomfield." This is a significant advantage, providing easy access to the local amenities and essential services of two key Perry County towns. New Bloomfield serves as the county seat and offers small-town shops and a quaint environment, while Duncannon, situated closer to the Susquehanna River and U.S. Routes 11/15 and 22/322, offers quicker travel corridors to Harrisburg and other Central Pennsylvania hubs. For local commuters or those needing to access larger commercial centers, the short drive to Duncannon provides critical accessibility without sacrificing the peaceful, mountain-road setting of the community itself.
Beyond local towns, the most compelling location feature is the park's immediate proximity to Pennsylvania’s State Game Lands. This adjacency makes the community an absolute haven for local hunters, hikers, and nature enthusiasts. Residents can step out their door and be minutes away from expansive tracts of public land, perfect for recreation. Furthermore, the mention of a very nice park less than three miles down the road ensures that family-friendly, developed green spaces are also close at hand. This blending of secluded, rural living with proximity to nature and necessary routes makes Paradise a highly attractive spot for Pennsylvania RV owners.
The core value proposition of an RV park lies in the quality and reliability of its utility and infrastructural services, which residents rely on for their daily living. While specific, comprehensive details for this particular community are often managed privately, resident reviews highlight essential services that contribute to a comfortable stay.
Cleanliness and Maintenance: A consistently praised service is the high standard of maintenance. The community is described as "clean" and "well maintained," indicating that the management invests in the upkeep of common areas, roadways, and infrastructure.
High-Speed Internet Access: A crucial modern necessity, residents specifically mention having access to "fast Internet through Blue Ridge Cable." This is a major benefit for long-term RV residents, remote workers, or anyone who relies on streaming and communication.
Utility Infrastructure: As a mobile home/RV community, the site offers the necessary hookups for RVs, which typically include water, electric, and sewer connections to ensure a full-service, residential experience for RV owners.
Community Management: The presence of on-site or readily available management is a key service, responsible for maintaining community order, enforcing rules, and collecting rent. A peaceful environment, as reported by a resident—"no real troublemakers"—suggests effective management and screening.
Available Open Spots: The current availability of "quite a few open spots" suggests the park is actively managing its occupancy, providing an opportunity for new local residents to secure a space without a long waitlist.
The appeal of Paradise Mobile Home Community as an RV destination for Central Pennsylvania locals stems from several key features that enhance the quality of life and access to recreation.
Direct State Game Lands Access: Being right next door to the State Game Lands is an unparalleled feature for Pennsylvania outdoor enthusiasts. This offers immediate, year-round access to thousands of acres for hunting, hiking, wildlife observation, and other recreational pursuits.
Peaceful, Tidy Environment: The community’s reputation for being "clean" and free of "troublemakers" is a major highlight. RV living, especially long-term, is dramatically improved when the surrounding environment is stable, quiet, and respectfully maintained.
Reliable Modern Connectivity: The availability of "fast Internet through Blue Ridge Cable" sets this location apart from many remote or rural RV parks. This feature is vital for both leisure and professional needs, allowing residents to stay connected to the rest of Central PA and beyond.
Strategic Perry County Location: Its placement between New Bloomfield and Duncannon ensures that residents are never far from necessary groceries, fuel, and essential small-town services, balancing rural serenity with suburban convenience.
Opportunity for Affordable Long-Term Stay: While the pricing is subject to change with new ownership, mobile home communities often provide a more affordable and stable long-term land-lease option compared to the fluctuating nightly or weekly rates of dedicated commercial RV campgrounds, making it an excellent base camp.

For local Pennsylvania residents, the Paradise Mobile Home Community offers an almost unique proposition for RV living: a long-term, stable residence that serves as a gateway to the best of Perry County’s natural environment. Its suitability is threefold: location, lifestyle, and infrastructure.
Firstly, the unparalleled access to the State Game Lands appeals directly to the deep-rooted outdoor culture of the Commonwealth. This isn't just a place to park an RV; it’s a strategic launchpad for hiking, hunting, and exploring. Secondly, the established lifestyle—described as clean, well-maintained, and quiet—provides the peaceful, predictable existence many RV owners seek, especially those using their RV as a primary or long-term seasonal home. Finally, the critical infrastructure, particularly the access to fast, modern internet and convenient utilities, ensures that residents don't have to choose between a rustic environment and modern connectivity.
In summary, if you are a local Pennsylvanian seeking a permanent or seasonal RV spot in a clean, managed environment with a strategic location between local towns and vast natural lands, the Paradise Mobile Home Community in New Bloomfield warrants serious consideration. It balances the solitude of Perry County with the convenience of Central PA access, making it an excellent choice for those looking to root their RV lifestyle in the Keystone State. Prospective residents are encouraged to confirm all terms and policies with the new ownership to secure a smooth transition into this promising community.

As it stands now, this is a great place. It's clean, well maintained, has access to fast Internet through Blue Ridge Cable, no real troublemakers, etc. Recently (12/20/21), we've learned that the park has been bought by an out of state investor. Don't know what this means, but it's almost certain that our rent is going to go upwards, as investors like to see a return on their investment. I will update as more information becomes known.
Dec 29, 2021 · Chuck HubrisQuiet a few open spots here. Good location between Duncannon and New Bloomfield. There is a very nice park less than 3 miles down the road, and the State Game lands are right next door.
Jan 02, 2025 · KennethNo local manager or office in the park. No one follows the rules. Dogs running around without leashes. People speeding through the park and down the road to the park. No one seems to stop at the stop signs because none of this is enforced. Report someone? You get in trouble.
Dec 12, 2023 · ÆGIRI have traveled in this place many times to visit family, and I'm fed up with kids being all over those roads, when you blow the horn they look at you! Where are the parents?? Why is the person in charge of the PARK not doing something? They need to put someone else in charge, bc clearly this person is not doing their job!!
