My husband has many childhood memories at Paradise Valley and was excited to show us along with our pup and one year old daughter what a special place it is. I have to admit I had my doubts but after spending a weekend there I was very impressed. Everyone was so friendly and the creek bed where we had our camper parked by provided the perfect escape from the humidity and many fun rocks to shift through for our daughter. Excited to spend more weekends at Paradise Valley and give our little one precious memories to look back on just like her Daddy.

The campground is beautiful. There are lots of activities for the kids (and dogs) to do: swimming, paddle boat, fishing, basketball and playgrounds. Many of the campers bring their own golf carts and side by sides there are great trails for them. This campground seems to be more of a party place with kids and adults up and loud well into the night. We had to ask kids to stop playing basketball at 10:30 pm. The next night we were woke up between midnight and 1 am to more basketball and loud. If your looking to party this is the place for you. If you are looking for quiet relaxing place away from home, keep looking.

If any of my friends plan to ever stay here at any time I recommend not going! We had a spot reserved 2 months ago for the 4th of July weekend and I asked the lady when I reserved it if I needed to pay a deposit or anything to hold my spot and she said no just pay when you get here! I also asked if Side by sides were allowed and she goes of course we have lots of them down here. So they had messaged my mom telling her I was at site 86 so she knew and could go check it out if wanted. Well Friday night around 8 pm I got a phone call from the lady who Is the owner, asking if we were still coming I said yes we are we will be there in an hour and a half or less and she goes ugh okay I guess I’ll have to wait around and you’ll have to call me to open the gate for you and we didn’t think you were coming so we gave your spot away, but we still have a spot for you it’s across from the office so I was mad called my mom and asked her to go over there and talk to her cause she was only 15 minutes from there, so then she went there and talked with the lady and told her we originally had gotten site 86 why are we not there anymore and that’s not right to just give someone’s spot away just assuming there not coming. The lady was so rude to her screaming and yelling. So we got there pulled in and we had our side by side on the back of the truck mind you she was there watching the whole time we pulled in to our spot got our camper unhooked and unloaded and she never said a word about the side by side until we got everything unloaded, she comes over and says you can’t have those here meaning the side by side and my mom was like why everyone else around has them, and she then says side by sides are only for permanent spot campers weekenders are not allowed to have them down here. So we drove 3 hours one way to come here for the weekend and not only did you give our spot away, but we asked you before booking our spot if side by sides were allowed and you said yes, and she says my aunt was the one who took the reservation not me. Well maybe you should have better communication with each other then cause how does she not know they aren’t allowed for weekend campers. So at 1 am we packed up and left there because she was just yelling and screaming and we are paying for somewhere where we can ride our side by side not somewhere we can’t, and luckily we found a spot in Guttenberg!
