Customer Reviews
The park was extremely clean, you can tell that the employees take pride in the appearance of the park. The staff was helpful and courteous. The goats and pony were a huge hit with my boys. The only gripe I have is with the site widths a few more feet per site would make a big difference. But that will not keep us from camping there again soon!
Beautiful campground! We stayed in Lakeside Sanctuary 2 which is handicap accessible. You are steps from the lake and it is so peaceful to sit and look at. The kitchen is fully stocked but you do have to bring your own linens, towels, blankets and pillows. The cabin does have the smallest TV ever which is probably like 14 inches but no one goes to a campground for the television. The camp store has everything needed (including boozy slushies π·) and check in was a breeze. The women that work there are lovely.
They need to have escorts to the sites. Site 265 is a back in site and tight to get into without running over someone's grass. Not much grass on the site, more dirt and tree roots. I had removed my car tag when we were out of the campground and when we pulled up to the gate I showed it to the staff member at the gate and was reprimanded that it needs to be displayed at all times before I even had a chance to rehang. I guess it needs to displayed while outside of the campground too! General manager and the girl at check in were friendly. Was and uncomfortable and unwelcoming weekend. Will not return!
Beautiful setting, lots of birds in the trees and surround the ponds. Extremely friendly staff, lots of activities especially on the weekends. The Shetland pony and two goats are adorable and love kids.
It was a nice place to stay for a weekend theres as there's many kids friendly activities and amenities. However, I dont think we will return. We were greeted by an unfriendly man at the front as soon as we arrived using hand motions vigorously and being rude about where we pulled off to check in. Just not a friendly person. The guy at the gate was also VERY unfriendly. I put the pass on the dash instead of in the rear view mirror and he barked rudely "it needs to go on the mirror!" The second unfriendly person we encountered before even getting to our site. The roads are heavily muddy and many craters in the road. I understand its only 7.5 mph but the roads are terrible. There's lawnmowers, weed wackers and pressure washers going off by seasonal people that create an annoyance by weekenders! We also rented a golf cart and I took my daughter up to the office not knowing that there was specific parking. The guy yelled rudely 3Γ "excuse me! Park over there!" Nobody told us that we had to park in specific parking when we rented it and nor was there instructions anywhere. Ashame there is such rude customer service to campers!
