We attended the Blazin’ Bluegrass Festival here. Idk about the camping, but the festival was a blast!!! Everyone we talked to treated us outa towner’s like neighbors. Even though this was a public event, it was like going to a church bazaar. The gospel bluegrass music was out of this world!!!! Such talent!!! And the kids with the gift of music warmed my heart!!!!🥰 The food was outstanding!!! I left my phone behind... so no pics except the food truck we ate at (Thanks to my husband)
Perfect venue for a Bluegrass concert. The park was clean, well kept, and everyone was very friendly.
Blazing Bluegrass Festival 2022 was incredible. From the people directing traffic, to the parking attendants, to the ticket stand ladies, to those working near the stage; ALL of them were professional and courteous. The assortment of food vendors was amazing!!! The atmosphere was great and the performers were the best around from The Bakers to The Primitive Quartet. I hope to be able to camp the whole week next year and enjoy all of that for a week!!! Kudos to Freddie and Pam Clark and all the others that work so hard to make this event so successful!!!
Pictures of the perfect blue sky after many jet streams left chem trails
Our first stay here was July 2022, nearly empty the whole time, while it is nice sometimes you want others around. They had old school metal slides, bad mom here didn't realize just how hot they had gotten, my youngest burned the bottom of her foot really badly on it, kind of ruined the vacation. Recent stay in April 2023. One other 'group' who are also locals. It was nice to have some other kids for ours to play with. Bathrooms really needed cleaned-showers were very mildewy and slimey. Recently blacktopped all roads and most spots (as of our departure) Caretakers mentioned that they were planning to replace the playground equipment and update bathrooms soon. We will see
