The Campgrounds at Iron Mountain Resort, located in Dahlonega, GA, is a prominent destination designed primarily for off-road vehicle enthusiasts, offering extensive ATV and UTV trails alongside various camping options. Lots of available sites, always very friendly people and staff. Prices are very reasonable and in line with other campgrounds. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a place to park your rv." This feedback underscores a positive overall experience for many who frequent the resort. However, it's crucial to acknowledge that, as an active off-road park, the environment can be dynamic. Another review, while negative, illustrates this by mentioning concerns about unmonitored activity, loud music, and vehicles speeding through the campground, leading to safety issues with flying rocks. This indicates that while the resort offers fantastic riding and camping, the atmosphere can sometimes be boisterous and less regulated than a traditional quiet campground, resembling a "Wild West" feel for some. Customer Reviews
We love the campground at Iron Mountain. Lots of available sites, always very friendly people and staff. Prices are very reasonable and in line with other campgrounds. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a place to park your rv. They also have primitive sites for $10 a night.
I hate to write a bad review for anyone but I have nothing good to say about my camping experience here. I’ve rode this place for a couple years. Even have my yearly pass for riding. Never camped until this weekend. Had a tent spot booked for 2 nights. We left after the first night. I don’t understand why they charge people to set up in a campground that they don’t monitor. We woke up Saturday morning and were instantly surrounded by people using the campground as a day area. Loading and unloading machines riding through the campground instead of going to the trails. We called for security when us and all of our things were getting pelted with rocks from people hauling ass through the camp ground over and over. Of course security never bothered to stop. Just a waste of money. If I have to pay to stay in that campground there shouldn’t be people allowed to just set up canopy’s and bring 4 car loads of people blast music and use it for free. I will absolutely never set up a camp spot for this place ever again. Honestly not even sure if I’ll go back to ride. They’ve created a Wild West inside that gate and refuse to do anything about it.
Campground isn't kept up with. Muddy mess. No rules enforced so people take their machines where ever, in others spots, on the grass. Kicking up rocks, gravel, dust, mud. Spots are not paved. Grass isn't kept up with. We won't even talk about the mess of the bathhouse. The people who stay in the cabins ruin that for everyone. Take the insane money you're charging people and upgrade the campground. Give us paved spots. Fix the grass! Maintain things better!
Loved this place. Roomy camp sites with full hook ups. The trails were great and we found lots of mud and a great scenic view. There is a large store for supplies and a food truck on site.
Another great weekend holiday with our riding crew!👍🏾
