It’s a testament to the idea that sometimes, simplicity and efficiency are the most valuable amenities of all.

Location and Accessibility

The Tired Traveler RV Park boasts an exceptionally convenient location at 712 I-20, Cisco, TX 76437, USA. Its direct proximity to Interstate 20 is arguably its most significant advantage for travelers. I-20 is a major east-west artery connecting Fort Worth to El Paso and continuing across the southern United States. This prime placement means that RVers can easily exit the highway, access the park, and then seamlessly rejoin their journey, minimizing travel time and stress. For those relying on GPS, the address is straightforward and simple to navigate.

Cisco itself is a small, historic town in Eastland County, offering a glimpse into classic Texas charm. While the park is roadside for easy access, it manages to maintain a quiet atmosphere, as noted by customer reviews. This balance of accessibility and tranquility is highly valued by RVers. The location makes it an ideal overnight stop for those traveling long distances or a convenient base for exploring the local area. Its placement in Cisco also means it's within a reasonable driving distance of larger Texas cities, making it a viable option for those who might need to commute or access broader services while enjoying a more relaxed small-town setting.

Services Offered

The Tired Traveler RV Park prides itself on providing the essential services that RVers truly need, focusing on functionality and comfort without unnecessary extras. This "no frills" approach ensures affordability and efficiency. Here are the core services you can expect:

  • Full RV Hookups: Every site is equipped with essential connections, typically including 30 and 50 amp electricity, water, and sewer. This is crucial for a comfortable and self-sufficient RV stay, allowing you to run appliances, have fresh water, and manage wastewater conveniently.
  • On-Site Laundry Facilities: A highly valued amenity, especially for those on extended trips or living in their RVs. The availability of clean, accessible laundry machines helps travelers refresh their wardrobe and maintain cleanliness without needing to seek out off-site laundromats.
  • Reasonable Pricing: Customers consistently highlight the cost-effectiveness of staying at The Tired Traveler RV Park. This makes it an attractive option for budget-conscious travelers and those looking for good value.
  • Cleanliness: Reviews frequently commend the park for its cleanliness, indicating that the owners prioritize a well-maintained environment for their guests. A clean park contributes significantly to a comfortable and pleasant stay.
  • Quiet Environment: Despite its proximity to I-20, the park is noted for being quiet. This allows guests to get a restful night's sleep, which is paramount for travelers.
  • Safe Environment: Customer feedback emphasizes the sense of safety within the park, providing peace of mind for individuals and families alike.

It's important to set expectations that while these essential services are excellent, you won't find amenities like swimming pools, clubhouses, or extensive recreational facilities. The focus here is squarely on providing a solid, functional, and pleasant place to park your RV.

Features / Highlights

The Tired Traveler RV Park, while not a resort, boasts several key features that make it stand out as a highly desirable stop for RVers in Texas:

Promotions or Special Offers

As a family-owned or locally operated "no-frills" RV park focused on value, The Tired Traveler RV Park may not always advertise traditional, elaborate promotions or seasonal discounts in the same way larger resort-style parks might. Their core offering is already based on competitive and affordable pricing, which serves as an ongoing "special offer" in itself. However, it is always a good practice to inquire directly when making a reservation. Many smaller RV parks offer:

  • Weekly or Monthly Rates: These are very common and almost always more economical than nightly rates for extended stays. If you plan to be in the Cisco area for more than a few nights, be sure to ask about their long-term pricing options.
  • Good Sam or Other RV Club Discounts: While not explicitly mentioned in available reviews, many RV parks offer a percentage discount (e.g., 10%) for members of popular RV clubs like Good Sam Club, Passport America, or FMCA. It's always worth asking if they participate in any such programs.
  • Off-Season Rates: During less popular travel seasons, some parks might offer slightly reduced rates to encourage occupancy. Given Cisco's location, this might be more relevant during extreme summer heat or cooler winter months if travel significantly decreases.

The best way to determine any current promotions or special offers is to contact The Tired Traveler RV Park directly via phone. Their friendly owners are the best source of up-to-date pricing and any available deals.

They were a beacon of light in a storm. We were traveling and we were hit by a lightning and dust storm. Never experiencing such a storm. It was late and dark when we called. The phone was answered by a very Cheerful and kind man. He invited us in and told us to pick any spot and bunker down.

Not a bad place to stay. People are respectful and to themselves. The noise from the highway is tolerable. It’s affordable as well. We recommend this place.

Made reservations online. Got confirm email but no return phone calls. Park is dumpy and dirty and no office. No one to indicate where to go or what to do.
