This community-focused RV park offers a distinct blend of modern amenities, comfortable living spaces, and a welcoming atmosphere, making it a highly attractive option for those looking to settle down in their RVs within the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex area.
Vista RV Community prides itself on being a gated, all-concrete park, providing a sense of security and a clean, well-maintained environment from the moment you arrive. The park offers flexibility with options for both covered and uncovered sites, catering to different preferences and needs for protecting your RV from the Texas sun. This attention to detail in its infrastructure underscores a commitment to providing a high-quality living experience.
What truly sets Vista RV Community apart is its vibrant and friendly atmosphere. Many residents highlight the sense of community, noting that most residents are friendly and enjoy sitting out and visiting with neighbors. This fosters a welcoming environment where friendships are made and a true sense of belonging can flourish. The park's owners contribute significantly to this by "incredibly kindly providing food for special get-togethers," an initiative that actively strengthens the bonds among residents.
Beyond the community spirit, Vista RV Community boasts a remarkable array of amenities designed to enhance the daily lives of its residents. From practical necessities like a laundry room to recreational features such as a gym, putting green, playground, and a newly added pool, the park aims to provide a comprehensive living experience. This rich offering of facilities ensures that residents have plenty of opportunities for recreation, exercise, and relaxation right within the community.
While some past concerns regarding rule enforcement and management consistency have been noted, more recent reviews indicate a proactive park manager who "does a great job handling any situations that come up," suggesting an ongoing commitment to improvement and resident satisfaction. The park's continuous evolution, including the addition of new amenities, reflects a dedication to meeting the needs of its full-time residents, making Vista RV Community a highly recommended place to call home.
Vista RV Community is strategically located at 2299 FM982, Princeton, TX 75407, USA. This prime address places the community in Princeton, Texas, a rapidly growing suburb that offers an excellent balance between peaceful country living and convenient access to the extensive amenities of the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area.
Princeton's location provides residents with the tranquility of a smaller town while still being within a reasonable driving distance of major urban centers like McKinney, Allen, and even Dallas itself. This accessibility is crucial for those who work in the city, need access to specialized medical facilities, or simply enjoy the vast entertainment and shopping opportunities that the DFW metroplex offers. While one review mentioned road construction and a 15-20 minute drive to major stores like Walmart or Kroger, this is a common characteristic of expanding suburban areas, and the drive time is generally considered acceptable for the benefit of a quieter environment.
The park's proximity to FM 982 ensures relatively easy navigation to and from the community. Furthermore, being in the Princeton area means residents are well-positioned to enjoy the natural beauty and outdoor recreational activities that North Texas provides. Lake Lavon, a popular destination for fishing, boating, and lakeside relaxation, is within close reach, offering ample opportunities for leisure outside the park.
The overall location of Vista RV Community offers a desirable lifestyle for Texans looking for a permanent RV home. It provides the peace of a well-maintained community outside the immediate urban sprawl, coupled with the practicality of having necessary services and major attractions just a short drive away. Customer Reviews
Rented Site #354 for a few months. The Good: overall a clean park that has concrete pads and optional covered parking. The BAD: The management is inconsistent with enforcing rules and plays the political favorite game. Example; one of our neighbors decided to burn TREATED lumber in their outdoor fire pit. The fire pit was under the covered portion of their site and less than 10ft from our coach. The smoke from the fire was unbearable inside our coach. We brought it to managements attention and they initially took care of it. It happened a SECOND time and management chose to blame a different neighbor who was grilling dinner. When I requested a meeting with the manager and the owners of the park, only the manager showed up and during our meeting she essentially stated that it was my fault and that I should be able to handle it myself. This manager frequently spends time with and hangs out on my neighbors site. Very discouraging and disappointed in how this was handled. This particular neighbor also has dogs that bark frequently throughout the day and night. Takeaway: If you rent here do not rent site #354.
We love our Vista RV community! It’s a gated, all-concrete park with options for both covered and uncovered sites. Most residents are friendly and enjoy sitting out and visiting with neighbors. The owners are incredibly kind to provide food for special get-togethers, which really strengths the sense of community. The park has great amenities: a laundry room, gym, putting green, playground, and a newly added pool! As full-time residents, we’d love to see a storm shelter and a pickleball court added, especially since most activities are geared toward the younger generation. That said, we have lots of friends here and really enjoy our time together. The park manager is proactive and does a great job handling any situations that come up. Some people may not always see what goes on behind the scenes—and that’s okay. The resident mentioned in a previous review is no longer here. If you’re looking for a full-time place to call home, I highly recommend checking out Vista RV. You won’t be disappointed.
My family really enjoyed our time (5 months) at Vista RV Community (Site 205). You will not find a better priced COVERED RV spot this close to the east side of Dallas. This is a newly renovated RV resort with some amenities still in progress (playground and possibly a pool). When we first moved in, they had some old tenants that were rough around the edges however the staff was quick to remove them since they did not follow the new rules. When these individuals left, they left the bad reviews that you see below. Amenities - The park is gated and fully concrete with several speed bumps and street lighting throughout the park. The outdoor recreation area is amazing with a huge raised cooking fire pit and a solo stove with comfortable chairs. This area also has a putting green and several tables. There is a workout area and laundry room that is always kept clean. Each site has a storage shed which really comes in handy when you are full time. This park has 2 dog parks, 1 of the dog parks is split and has an area for smaller dogs. This area is well maintained by staff and there are supplied dog bags and waste baskets. Every week a professional mowing crew maintains the grounds to keep it looking great. Staff - I was shocked to see the owners show up as often as they do. You can really tell they have put their hearts into making this place great. They always decorated for the season or holidays and it really made this place feel like home. The park manager Renee (referred to as the Karen in some older comments) is the right person to manage this place. Renee has really done an amazing job enforcing rules and is always very helpful and responsive. Once this place opened, we had difficulties getting our mail due to USPS, Renee worked constantly to have this issue resolved quickly. I strongly believe Renee and the owners really want to see the majority of this place being long term community that you can call home. Dan was an original tenant and is now responsible for maintaining the ground. Dan does a great job when people leave that were long term, he power washes the sites and gets them ready for the next person. Dan keeps the common areas clean and well maintained. While I was having issues with USPS, sometimes my mail would be delivered to the business mailbox. Dan would make sure to hand deliver my mail to me. Dan is a really good person and I was impressed by how hard he works and cares about the RV park. We left due to buying a home in the area. Our family really enjoyed our time here and hated to leave. THANK YOU!!!
This place is very up-to-date clean and maintain security top-notch great for the money
We went to check out this place. Honestly, it looks nice, clean, but the spots didn't have any kind of yard for each spot. So if you have a pet, not much grass to go on. There are covered spots. Golf putt. It has a workout room. Washer and dryer room, but it didn't have a shower. That was the deal breaker for us.
