It’s a place where the scent of pine needles mixes with the fresh air off Green Bay, and every evening promises a sunset worth remembering.
Welcker's Point Campground is a popular choice for those seeking a more traditional camping adventure, focusing on the simple joys of nature. Unlike some campgrounds with extensive hookups, Welcker's Point embraces a non-electric, back-to-basics approach that allows campers to truly disconnect and immerse themselves in the serene environment. This emphasis on natural engagement makes it a beloved spot for tent campers and those who appreciate the quietude of a forested setting.
Our fellow Wisconsinites who have experienced Welcker's Point consistently rave about its primary allure: the spectacular sunsets. As one happy camper shared, they witnessed "Gorgeous sunsets every night, literally a short walk across from our Campsite!" This direct access to breathtaking views over Green Bay is a defining characteristic of the campground and a highlight for many visitors. Reviews also frequently mention the generous size of the campsites, providing "ample room for our tent, vehicle and for the kiddos to play!" This ensures a comfortable and spacious stay, even during popular times like the Fourth of July weekend.

Customer Reviews
This was My Family's first time camping here (4th of July weekend) and it was awesome! Our campsite was large in size and we had ample room for our tent, vehicle and for the kiddos to play! Gorgeous sunsets every night, literally a short walk across from our Campsite! Everything you needed was approximately within in a 30 mile radius. I will definitely be returning!
Best view of the sunset as well as great shelter for rainy days if your camping. I have spent many afternoons with games and friends within these walls. Bring your picnic for a great afternoon by the water. This is not easy access to launch a kayak or SUP. Bathrooms are vault toilets but at least there is access! Great space for skipping rocks and watching the bats emerge.
Lots of bathrooms, but no showers. This place is mosquito infested so bring lots of bug spray. There's also a lot of crickets so first night might take you a bit to fall asleep. There's raccoons in the woods that like to scavenge the campsites at night. They are not afraid to come right up to the tents. The campsites are also a lot closer to each other than some other campsites so mind the lack of privacy. There's also a lot of people biking along the roads, so drive slowly. Enjoy
We love welckers. It's always quiet and relaxing, even when packed with people.. with easy access to the boat launch and beach and also one of the best sunset spots. I highly recommend this campground.
Beautiful park, a great place to camp and a cheap way to visit Door County.
