Wildfoot Outdoor Resort About
For folks right here in Kentucky looking to escape the everyday hustle and find a peaceful spot to reconnect with nature, the options for campgrounds are plentiful. Today, we're taking a closer look at a destination that's generating a lot of conversation and shows promising potential for your next outdoor adventure: Wildfoot Outdoor Resort. Located in the serene rural landscapes of Lewisburg, this campground offers a quiet retreat with essential amenities, making it a place where you can unwind and enjoy the tranquility of our beautiful state.
Wildfoot Outdoor Resort presents itself as a burgeoning destination, a place that, as some visitors have observed, appears to be a "work in progress" with exciting potential for future enhancements. What stands out immediately, and consistently, is the exceptional responsiveness and helpfulness of the owner, Angel. Her prompt replies and willingness to assist campers, even when unforeseen situations arise, are a significant "bonus" and a testament to the dedication behind this establishment. This personal touch can make all the difference in ensuring a worry-free stay.
While the "resort" aspect might be something that develops further over time, Wildfoot Outdoor Resort already provides a solid foundation for a comfortable camping experience. It offers full hookup RV sites, cozy cabins for rent, and a generally quiet environment that's perfect for unwinding. If you're an Illinois resident seeking a peaceful, rural setting close to natural attractions like Lake Malone, and appreciate the potential for a developing space with dedicated owner support, Wildfoot Outdoor Resort invites you to discover its charm and monitor its exciting progress. It's a place that, with continued evolution, could truly become a beloved destination for many years to come.
Wildfoot Outdoor Resort is situated at 251 Whites Carver Rd, Lewisburg, KY 42256, USA, placing it deep within the peaceful rural landscape of Kentucky. This location is ideal for those seeking a true escape from urban noise and traffic, offering a quiet and serene environment for a relaxing getaway. While it provides this desired tranquility, it's important for local Kentuckians to note its specific positioning.
The campground is approximately 30 minutes from Russellville, which is noted as the "closest Walmart" and where you'll find other essential services like gas stations and restaurants. This means planning for supplies before arrival is a good idea, as immediate access to conveniences is not directly at the park's doorstep. However, for many who seek a true "off the beaten path" experience, this level of rurality is precisely the appeal.
One of its significant geographical advantages is its proximity to Lake Malone. This beautiful lake and its popular beach are not far from the park, offering fantastic opportunities for fishing, boating, swimming, and lakeside relaxation. For those coming from further afield, the park is also noted to be "only 40 minutes to Clarksville / Ft. Campbell," providing a convenient option for military families or those visiting the Fort Campbell area from within Kentucky. While there might be a "small sign on the way to the park," visitors should be aware that the entrance itself might lack a prominent marker, so keeping an eye out for the "gorgeous horizontal stone" could be helpful upon arrival. This balance of rural peace with access to a beautiful lake and regional hubs makes Wildfoot Outdoor Resort a unique consideration for your next Kentucky camping trip.
Wildfoot Outdoor Resort, while appearing to be a work in progress, already provides a range of essential services and amenities designed to offer a comfortable stay for campers.

Customer Reviews
UPDATED: Thank you for the reply, Angel. Based on this, we're going to update from a 3 to a 4-star review. We wish you the very best and we will monitor on occasion to see your progress! Our recent stay at Wildfoot Outdoor Resort made us wonder why "resort" is in the name of the park. Located 30 minutes from the closest Walmart in Russellville (or anything including gas stations or restaurants,) Wildfoot was a bit of a surprise from what we expected after seeing the website and reviews. It bis close to Lake Malone and not far from the lake's beach. There is a small sign on the way to the park but no marker at the entrance, which had a gorgeous horizontal stone. It would be nice to have the stone somehow etched with the name of the park...just a suggestion. There is no occupied office, no host, no directional driving markers, no road markers to find sites. We could not figure out our site and saw a car parked on what appeared to be our site. We quickly chose another and contacted Angel to notify her. By the way, Angel was very prompt to reply and helpful...quite the bonus. She approved our selection and we set up. Our site was a fairly level pull through full hookup 50 amp site with a picnic table. In general, the park was quiet and peaceful most of our stay. We did have daily incessant barking dogs near us that were left outside to bark for quite some time. It appeared that most if not all of the park occupants were workers (not a problem as we travel full time and have stayed in both resident and transient parks.) We walked around a few times and checked out the onsite building which had bathrooms and showers as well as one washer and one dryer. It appeared that the office is in the building even though it is locked. There was also a club house that was locked. The park has a playground for kids. There was no onsite dog park that we could find. There are cabins to rent and one sat on a small pond. The entire park felt abandoned. In conclusion, Wildfoot was pricey for what it offered and left us feeling like we neither hated nor loved the park...it was "okay." And in the park's defense, we also wondered if it was a "work in progress." Are there plans to make it a resort? If there are, we hope the best for their success.
Incredible camp ground in rural Kentucky only 40 minutes to Clarksville / Ft. Campbell! Cabins for rent as well as space to park your camper. Full electricity available as well as huge main building with wifi, air conditioning and common space! Very quaint setting perfect for a getaway!
