Alafia Mobile Plaza About
Hello, Florida residents! When considering a mobile home park as your next home, it’s always beneficial to have a clear and factual understanding of the community. This article provides an overview of Alafia Mobile Plaza, located in Gibsonton, Florida. We will explore its location, common services expected in such a park, and, importantly, what current public feedback reveals about the living experience. Our aim is to provide transparent information to help you make an informed decision as you navigate your housing options in the Sunshine State.
A mobile home park is a designated residential community offering leased plots of land for manufactured homes. These parks serve as long-term housing solutions, providing a more permanent and often more affordable alternative to traditional single-family homes. Unlike transient RV parks, mobile home parks aim to cultivate a stable and enduring community environment. They typically provide essential infrastructure such as utility hookups for water, sewer, and electricity, and often manage common areas. The overall quality of life in a mobile home park can be significantly influenced by management practices, community rules, and resident adherence to those rules, particularly concerning property maintenance and pet ownership. Alafia Mobile Plaza, as described by a resident, is currently in a state of development or improvement, indicating ongoing efforts to enhance the living environment. This "work-in-progress" status suggests that while there may be areas still needing attention, there is also a potential for positive changes over time. Understanding this dynamic is key for anyone considering making Alafia Mobile Plaza their home.
Customer reviews for Alafia Mobile Plaza offer a mixed but informative perspective on the current living conditions. One review notes, "This place it's a work-in-progress but it's getting better," suggesting ongoing improvements and a positive outlook from at least one resident. This indicates that while the park may not be fully optimized, efforts are being made to enhance the living environment.
However, another review highlights significant challenges within the community. This resident describes people as "very nosie" and children as "disrespectful." Furthermore, there are notable concerns regarding pets: "lots of cats that don't have owners and there is dogs trying to bite people when you walk around the neighborhood. Owners don't take care of there pets." These comments suggest issues with noise levels, unsupervised children, and, most critically, concerns about uncontrolled or neglected animals, posing potential safety and nuisance problems for residents. This feedback points to areas where community management or resident cooperation may need further attention to ensure a harmonious and safe environment for all.
Alafia Mobile Plaza is strategically located at 11888 US Hwy 41 S, Gibsonton, FL 33534, USA. This position on US Highway 41 in Gibsonton offers residents a balance between a somewhat quieter suburban setting and convenient access to the broader Tampa Bay metropolitan area.
US Highway 41 is a significant north-south artery in Florida, providing direct routes to key destinations. Heading north on US 41, residents can easily reach downtown Tampa, a vibrant urban center offering a wealth of employment opportunities, cultural attractions, dining, and entertainment. This includes popular spots like the Riverwalk, Armature Works, and various museums and theaters. For sports enthusiasts, professional sports venues are also readily accessible.
To the south, US 41 leads to other charming Florida communities such as Ruskin, Palmetto, and further to Bradenton and Sarasota, known for their beautiful beaches and arts scenes. Furthermore, Gibsonton's location provides relatively straightforward access to Interstate 75, a major highway connecting residents to areas across the state, including Orlando to the northeast and destinations further south. While being on a major highway offers excellent connectivity, potential residents should consider the possibility of associated traffic noise. The local Gibsonton area itself maintains a distinct character, historically known for its unique connection to the circus community, offering local services and a sense of small-town charm. This combination of local appeal and regional accessibility makes Alafia Mobile Plaza a conveniently located option for mobile home living in the Tampa Bay area.
As a mobile home park, Alafia Mobile Plaza would typically offer a core set of services and infrastructure essential for long-term residential living. While specific detailed amenities are not provided in the public reviews, we can infer the standard provisions. However, it's crucial to consider these services in light of the resident feedback regarding community dynamics and pet management.
-
Lot Leases: The primary service is providing leased plots of land where residents can place their manufactured homes. These leases outline the terms of occupancy, including rent, duration, and park rules.
-
Utility Hookups: Each mobile home lot would typically be equipped with hookups for essential utilities, including electricity, water, and sewer connections. Residents are usually responsible for their individual utility bills.
-
Waste Management: The park would provide a system for waste disposal, commonly through communal dumpsters or scheduled curbside trash collection, ensuring cleanliness within the community.
-
Common Area Maintenance: Management is generally responsible for the upkeep of shared spaces, such as internal roads, lighting, and any common green areas. The "work-in-progress" comment suggests ongoing efforts in this area, while issues like "debris" (if present due to pet neglect) could be a challenge.
-
On-Site Management/Support: The presence of a park implies management or staff who handle leases, enforce rules (though effectiveness is a concern in reviews), and address resident concerns. The phone numbers provided confirm direct contact is possible.
-
Community Rules & Enforcement (Concern): While all mobile home parks have rules, the reviews suggest that enforcement, particularly concerning pet ownership and noise, might be an area needing improvement. The issues with "dogs trying to bite people" and "owners don't take care of their pets" point to a potential gap in effective rule enforcement.
Based on the available customer reviews, the features and highlights of Alafia Mobile Plaza present a nuanced picture, characterized by both ongoing improvements and significant challenges that prospective residents should be aware of.
-
"Work-in-Progress" Status: A key highlight is that the park is actively "getting better," indicating that management is investing in improvements and development. This suggests a potential for future enhancement of the living environment and amenities.
-
Long-Term Residential Community: As a mobile home park, its primary function is to provide stable, long-term residential options for those seeking manufactured home living.
-
Strategic Gibsonton Location: Situated on US Highway 41 S, the park offers convenient access to Tampa and other surrounding communities, blending a suburban feel with metropolitan connectivity.
-
Noise and Privacy Concerns (Significant Negative Highlight): Residents describe the community as having "very nosie" people, which could be a significant detractor for those seeking a peaceful living environment. This suggests potential issues with sound insulation or a lack of quiet hours enforcement.
-
Unsupervised Children (Significant Negative Highlight): The mention of "disrespectful kids" suggests a lack of supervision, which can impact the overall community atmosphere and safety, particularly for those without children.
-
Uncontrolled and Neglected Pets (Significant Negative Highlight): This is perhaps the most serious concern, with reports of "lots of cats that don't have owners" and "dogs trying to bite people when you walk around the neighborhood." The explicit statement "Owners don't take care of there pets" points to a significant issue with pet management, safety, and hygiene within the park. This is a critical factor for anyone, especially families or those with their own well-behaved pets, to consider.
As a professional content writer adhering strictly to factual information, it's important to state that no specific promotions or special offers for Alafia Mobile Plaza are provided in the available public data. Mobile home parks, particularly those in a "work-in-progress" phase, often manage their rental rates and any incentives directly with prospective tenants rather than through publicly advertised promotions.
Any "offers" would typically relate to the monthly lot rent, security deposit terms, or potentially limited-time incentives for new leases, which are best discussed directly with the park management. Given the mixed reviews, especially concerning community dynamics and pet issues, it is particularly advisable for interested individuals to engage in direct communication. This will allow you to inquire about current availability, specific pricing, and any lease terms that might be in place. It also provides an opportunity to ask direct questions about how the park is addressing the "work-in-progress" aspects and the concerns raised in reviews regarding noise, children, and pet management.

A personal visit, if possible, would also allow you to observe the current conditions and atmosphere firsthand.
For Florida locals considering a mobile home park, Alafia Mobile Plaza in Gibsonton presents a complex picture, one that requires careful consideration of both its potential and its current challenges. While it is described as a "work-in-progress" that is "getting better," implying a commitment to improvement, the existing resident feedback highlights significant issues that directly impact the quality of daily life.
The suitability of Alafia Mobile Plaza for a local resident will depend heavily on their priorities and tolerance for certain community dynamics. If affordability, a location with good access to US Highway 41 and the broader Tampa Bay area, and the prospect of a continuously improving community are primary drivers, then it might be worth considering. The "work-in-progress" status could indicate future enhancements that might address current shortcomings.
However, the serious concerns raised about "very nosie" people, "disrespectful kids," and, most critically, uncontrolled and potentially aggressive "dogs trying to bite people" due to owners not caring for their pets, are significant deterrents. These issues point to challenges with community management and rule enforcement, directly impacting safety, peace, and quiet. For locals seeking a serene, well-regulated, and safe environment, particularly those with children or who are sensitive to noise and pet issues, these aspects would be major drawbacks.
Ultimately, Alafia Mobile Plaza might be suitable for locals who are willing to overlook current challenges in favor of potential future improvements and who are comfortable navigating a community where noise levels and pet management are noted concerns. It is paramount for any interested Floridian to conduct thorough personal due diligence, including a visit to the park and direct, specific conversations with management about how these issues are being addressed, before making any commitments.

This place it's a work-in-progress but it's getting better
People are very nosie and the kids are disrespectful and lots of cats that don't have owners and there is dogs trying to bite people when you walk around the neighborhood. Owners don't take care of there pets.
Not very much i can say the lots are way to close together. you could basically be handed toilet paper from you neighbor when you run out without ever leaving your toilet. It's not very open and the housing is not very nice. Not very clean and good place for people that don't really care about looks and place. Pretty close to SR 60 which is a pretty busy road for trucks so noise is probably and issue as well.
I live hear and for $449 a mount I thank it's pretty good thay background check everyone and the people that run it are trying to stay on top of things so all of you giving bad reviews have probably been kicked out or couldn't pass a background check
this is a nice quiet place and the owner is a grate guy you let him know when something is wrong and his staff get on it quick i have lived hear 7 years and it has came a long way
