Promotions or Special Offers

As a state forest campground operated by the Michigan Department of Natural Resources (DNR), Ambrose Lake State Forest Campground typically operates under a standard fee structure rather than offering frequent, ad-hoc promotions or special offers in the same way a private business might. However, Michigan residents can often find value through:

  • Recreation Passport: The Michigan Recreation Passport is an annual pass required for vehicle entry into state parks and recreation areas, which often includes state forest campgrounds. Purchasing this pass offers significant savings for frequent visitors to Michigan's state outdoor properties throughout the year.

  • Seasonal Reservations: While not a discount, booking in advance, especially for popular weekends, ensures you secure a desired site. Prices for state forest campgrounds are generally very reasonable, offering excellent value for a rustic experience.

  • DNR Website and Publications: The most accurate and up-to-date information regarding camping fees, reservation policies, and any potential special events or changes to regulations will be found on the Michigan DNR website or in their official publications.

It is always recommended to check the Michigan DNR website or call the campground directly for the most current information on fees, availability, and any specific guidelines related to your stay at Ambrose Lake State Forest Campground.

Easy check in. Generous space. Beautiful lake side site. Wish they didn't put boulders out to limit the size of rvs able to be in the site.
