Antler Acres Resort is located at 11628 County Rd T, Reedsville, WI 54230, USA. This address places the resort in a rural, serene setting within the community of Reedsville, Wisconsin. Reedsville is a village in Manitowoc County, known for its agricultural roots and quiet, small-town charm, providing a true country escape for campers.
Despite its rustic ambiance, the location offers surprising accessibility to larger urban centers and popular attractions in Northeast Wisconsin. As highlighted by a reviewer, the location is "great, 30 mins or less to Green Bay, attractions, stores, marina, etc." This means that while campers can enjoy the peace and quiet of the countryside, they are still within a convenient driving distance to significant amenities and entertainment options in Green Bay, including Lambeau Field, museums, shopping centers, and a variety of dining experiences. This balance of secluded natural beauty and regional connectivity is a significant advantage. County Road T provides straightforward access to the resort, making it relatively easy to navigate for those traveling from different parts of Wisconsin. The surrounding fields, while leading to windy conditions as noted by a reviewer, also contribute to the expansive views of sunrises and sunsets, which are consistently praised as "beautiful." The rural setting fosters a strong connection with nature, allowing for a genuine Wisconsin outdoor experience, complete with stargazing and the sounds of local wildlife.
Antler Acres Resort offers a more minimalistic approach to camping services, focusing on providing a natural and rustic experience rather than extensive modern amenities. This caters to campers who prefer a back-to-basics approach and are largely self-sufficient. Based on available information and candid customer reviews, here's an overview of the services you can expect:
-
Campsites: The resort provides a limited number of sites, noted as "4 sites with no personal space" by one reviewer, suggesting a compact layout. These sites are situated within fields, offering open views.
-
No Sewer Hookups: It's important for RV campers to note that there are "no sewer hook ups" available, meaning campers will need to be prepared for dry camping or plan for off-site waste disposal.
-
No Bathrooms or Showers: As part of its rustic appeal, the campground does not provide traditional "bathrooms or showers." Campers should come prepared with their own portable sanitation solutions or be comfortable with primitive camping facilities.
-
Burn Barrels for Trash: Instead of traditional trash cans or pickup services, campers are expected to utilize "a burn barrel you have to use" for waste disposal. Reviewers mention that these barrels might not be tended to frequently, requiring campers to "start their trash to add yours."
-
Recycling Area: Recyclables are to be "put by their back door," indicating a designated area for sorted waste.
-
No Lighting or Reliable Internet: Campers should be prepared for a truly dark sky experience as there are "no lights" within the campground. Additionally, "internet doesnt work," meaning campers should not rely on connectivity during their stay.
-
Friendly Owners/Hosts: Consistently, reviews highlight that the "host/s were really nice" and "owners are Super nice!" This suggests a welcoming and accommodating presence for campers despite the limited facilities.
This minimalist service approach means Antler Acres Resort is best suited for experienced campers who are comfortable with self-reliance and prefer a stripped-down, natural camping adventure.
Despite its minimalist approach to amenities, Antler Acres Resort offers several unique features and highlights that appeal to a specific type of camper, emphasizing natural beauty and a rustic experience.
-
Beautiful Sunsets & Sunrises: A standout feature, universally praised by reviewers, is the "beautiful view of sunrise & sunsets!" and "Very beautiful sunset." The open fields surrounding the sites provide an unobstructed canvas for stunning sky displays, making it a photographer's dream and a highlight for any nature lover.
-
Rustic, Authentic Camping Experience: This is a key highlight for those seeking a true "back to basics" camping adventure. The lack of extensive modern amenities means campers can fully immerse themselves in the natural environment without distractions, fostering a sense of self-reliance and connection with the outdoors.
-
Friendly and Accommodating Owners/Hosts: Multiple reviews commend the "owners are Super nice!" and "host/s were really nice." A welcoming and helpful presence from the management can significantly enhance the camping experience, especially in a more rustic setting.
-
Proximity to Green Bay Attractions: Despite its rural location, the resort is conveniently located "30 mins or less to Green Bay, attractions, stores, marina, etc." This offers campers the best of both worlds: a peaceful natural retreat during their stay, with easy access to urban amenities and popular Wisconsin destinations when desired.
-
Open Field Setting: The campsites are situated in open fields, providing expansive views and a sense of freedom. While this contributes to wind as noted by a reviewer ("no wind block(trees)so everyday its windy!"), it also ensures unobstructed sky views for stargazing and enjoying the vastness of the Wisconsin landscape.
-
Wildlife Presence: For nature enthusiasts, the presence of local wildlife, including coyotes (though howling might be frequent), adds to the authentic wilderness experience. This is a feature for those who appreciate being truly immersed in nature's sounds and sights.
These highlights collectively paint a picture of a campground that prioritizes natural beauty and a no-frills, engaging outdoor adventure. It is important for potential visitors to align their expectations with these specific features.

Instead, the value proposition often lies in its unique, natural setting and affordable pricing structure, which is inherently a "special offer" for those seeking a specific type of experience.
Campgrounds of this style typically maintain a consistent, straightforward rate, allowing guests to budget easily for their stay. The "kindness" of the gentleman at the office in explaining rates, as noted in a review for a similar type of campground, suggests a transparent pricing approach.

-
Direct Booking Benefits: While not a discount, booking directly with the owners, who are described as "Super nice," can often lead to a more personalized experience and direct answers to any questions about the rustic setup.

This balance of secluded natural beauty and regional accessibility is a significant draw for many Wisconsin residents.
Furthermore, the consistently praised "Super nice" and "really nice" owners/hosts create a welcoming atmosphere that can make even a rustic camping experience feel comfortable and supported. While potential campers should be prepared for the lack of traditional amenities like lights, reliable internet, sewer hookups, bathrooms, or showers, and should be aware of factors like wind and the presence of animals, these aspects contribute to the authentic, wilder side of camping that some truly seek. For adventurous Wisconsin locals willing to trade creature comforts for stunning natural scenery, a peaceful environment, and genuine outdoor immersion, Antler Acres Resort stands out as a unique and rewarding destination for their next camping adventure.

In fall the flys are TERRIBLE to say the least! Their outside cats will pee & poop on your stuff along with eat your food/rip apart your trash. They have 2 dogs. The dogs will come into your site and will NOT listen when being called. Make sure your dog is friendly if you wanna stay here!!!! Theres no trash can or pick up. Just a burn barrel you have to use. They dont tend to burn their trash aften taking it out so you'll have to start their trash to add yours.... recyclables get put by their back door. Theres no lights, internet doesnt work, no sewer hook ups, no bathrooms or showers, 4 sites with no personal space. Fields all around and there's no wind block(trees)so everyday its windy!
