In considering Babington Camping & Mobile Home as a suitable option for Ohio locals, it’s essential to approach its suitability from two distinct perspectives, heavily influenced by the provided customer feedback: its historical and emotional appeal as a camping destination, and its current challenges as a mobile home park.
From the perspective of a recreational camping destination, particularly for those with a long-standing family connection, Babington Camping & Mobile Home clearly holds a deep, almost nostalgic, appeal. The review from a multi-generational camper paints a vivid picture of a beloved family retreat. For this segment of the Ohio population, Babington represents a cherished "home away from home" – a place to "get away from the buzz of everyday life," build memories, and connect with nature amidst the calming Ohio hills. The ability to customize their camping spaces with structures like decks and rooms speaks to a unique, semi-permanent camping culture that fosters a strong sense of community and belonging. For these long-term campers, the value lies in the tradition, the shared history, and the opportunity to disconnect in a familiar and personally significant outdoor setting. This type of suitability is emotional and experiential, appealing to those seeking a consistent and deeply personal camping tradition rather than a commercial campground with modern amenities.
However, when evaluating its suitability as a mobile home park or for new residents considering a more permanent stay, the suitability becomes highly questionable and, based on the recent negative review, severely problematic. The serious allegations of non-functional toilets, exposed and faulty electrical wiring, sewage leaking into the water supply, and unresponsive management paint a dire picture. These issues point to fundamental health, safety, and habitability concerns that are critical for any residential living situation. For Ohioans seeking a stable and functional place to live in a mobile home, these reported conditions would make Babington Camping & Mobile Home unsuitable until such significant issues are verifiably resolved and a track record of responsible management is established.
Therefore, for Ohio locals, the suitability of Babington Camping & Mobile Home is dichotomous. For established, multi-generational campers who have built a deep emotional connection to the site and perhaps manage their specific camping setups, it might continue to serve as a beloved, albeit potentially rustic, retreat. The positive review highlights a unique cultural attachment that transcends typical commercial expectations. However, for anyone considering a new mobile home rental or purchase, or even for new campers seeking reliable facilities, the severe operational and health-related issues described in the negative review are critically important and should prompt extreme caution. Until there is clear public evidence of substantial improvements to the infrastructure and management responsiveness, new residents seeking a mobile home living solution should exercise considerable due diligence and verify the current conditions independently. The appeal for locals seeking mobile home living at Babington, at this time, appears to be heavily outweighed by documented concerns, whereas its historical camping charm persists for a very specific, dedicated segment of the Ohio community.

Where to start? Hmm let's see NOBODY HAS WORKING TOILETS! I have exposed pipes everywhere the electric is wired terribly and I can barely lock my front door. I have no washer/dryer hook ups and I'm tired of continuously trying to get ahold of someone to come help! I want my deposit back and I want to move but I can't get ahold of anyone!!!!! Not too mention there is literally sewage leaking from an open pipe into the water supply. And somebody has to do something about this this whole situation is ridiculous. DO NOT LIVE HERE!!!!! Edit: we've moved and asked for the deposit back, we haven't heard a single thing. Updated 2025: Found out they put someone in that trailer disgusting
I have been camping here my entire life, my dad started going when he was 7 and he just turned 50 this year. It is without a doubt my favorite place in the entire world. My grandparents found it years ago, my grandpa had been looking for a place to park his camper. He loved the hills. Our family and friends have so many memories wrapped up in this place. It's where we get away from the buzz of everyday life. We have a camper, the same camper that my grandpa took down there, with the room he built onto it and a beautiful deck that us kids built with my dad. And right next to it is the camper my great aunt and her children fixed up. I couldn't imagine my life without this place, I love it so much.
Worst place to live. And they fix nothing. I had a water leak they didn't fix then it caused mold still didn't fix it. I had to fix it. Very rude they turned the playground into a field so kids can't play there no longer.
Our new home we love it ! Thank you soon much Lady Christy and the crew too for welcoming us
