  • Group Rates: For groups of 10 or more people, it's explicitly stated that group rates may be available. Visitors should "see Eddie Ables" (presumably a manager or owner) to inquire about these discounts, making it a good option for larger gatherings.

  • Monthly Rates: For extended stays, monthly rates can also be arranged by contacting the management directly. This could offer significant savings for long-term campers.

  • Children Under 5 Camp Free: Children aged 5 and under are exempt from the per-person per-night camping fee, which is a valuable consideration for families with very young children.

  • Combined Services: While canoe rentals have a separate cost, the convenience of having both camping and float trip services available at one location streamlines the planning process, offering a form of integrated value for a complete outdoor experience.

As promotional offers can change, it is always best for interested parties to contact Big Rock Camp Grounds directly via phone to inquire about the most current rates, group discounts, or any seasonal specials they might be offering.

This is a great place for adults. I had a blast with a couple of my friends. It is right off the river and everybody played marco polo and partied all night. I was there for memorial day weekend and it was PACKED. there were some kids there, but i personally would pick a safer spot to take my kids because there are so many steep drop offs. There are no bathrooms, just porter potties, and bring your own TP!! ;p it is pretty pricey at $8 per adult PER night. And the canoe rental to sugar island costed us quite a bit. But it was fun!

Was closed and the gate locked after I drove 2 hours to camp here. No way to contact anyone and it is self pay so I figured it would be open. Would be nice if someone could put actual info online about this place.
