Customer Reviews
What a Gem!! Found this city campground one day before our arrival. Jump on the Wabash Trace bike trail right from the campground. Sites one through seven are back in, 60 feet in length, with 50 amp service and water hook up. Site eight through 13 are 70 foot pull through with 50 amp service. All sites are level. There’s a dump station at another city park that is five blocks from the campground. We camped here in a 39 foot class a motorhome.
Simple, small campground in Malvern. Good location, right next to the Wabash Trace trail and walking distance to downtown area. The four sites next to the pond have water hookups, other sites have shared or no water access. Dump station is several blocks away off-site at W First St & Fifth Ave. Can make reservations by calling Malvern City Hall.
There aren't any facilities but in this day and age that's ok with me. There are hookups for water/electric. The campground is very well maintained and it's a short walk or bike ride up the street to downtown Malvern. The grocery store has a lot more than you might expect and the restaurants are also worth a visit. You can get to the Wabash Trace Trail from the campground. I ran it to Council Bluffs, back to camp, then to the opposite end. There are so many cool towns that you can stop at to resupply/re-nourish.
A great place to picnic, fish or walk. Easy access to the Wabash Trace bike/walking trail. Small play area for kids. Never been camping here so I can't comment on that.
We stayed there several nights while visiting an old friend. We were pleased to find that the town of Mavern had a good restaurant and bicycling trail, that we walked. I also had an issue with my hearing and the folks at the medical clinic in town were wonderful.
