In the heart of Maine's scenic Lakes Region, Camp Laughing Grass offers a truly unique camping experience tailored specifically for the adult crowd. This private, 21-and-older campground, founded by local entrepreneur Trinity, has quickly become a standout destination for Mainers and visitors seeking a relaxed, community-focused, and unequivocally cannabis-friendly retreat. It successfully blends the natural beauty of the Maine woods with a non-judgmental, inclusive atmosphere that sets it apart from traditional family campgrounds.
The primary ethos of Camp Laughing Grass is to provide a safe, welcoming space where adults can unwind, connect with nature, and enjoy the legal recreational use of cannabis without stigma or worry. As confirmed by many guests, the camp excels in creating a 'big family' feel, where the staff and fellow campers contribute to an atmosphere of collective good vibes and helpfulness. The owner's vision was to carve out a niche where cannabis enthusiasts could experience the joy of Maine camping, addressing a need often unmet by other local parks.
Camp Laughing Grass is situated on approximately 17 acres of riverfront forest, offering a variety of clean and comfortable accommodations from rugged tent sites to luxurious glamping structures and cabins. It operates seasonally, typically from late May through September, focusing on making every stay a relaxing, fun, and memorable escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. The professional, yet laid-back, approach ensures all guests feel instantly at home.
Camp Laughing Grass is strategically located at 1350 Edes Falls Rd, Harrison, ME 04040, USA. This address places it firmly in the desirable Sebago/Long Lakes Region, a renowned area in Southern Maine known for its abundance of water recreation, charming towns, and beautiful, secluded woods.
For Mainers, the location in Harrison offers a convenient escape. It is far enough from major cities like Portland or Lewiston-Auburn to feel like a true wilderness retreat, yet easily accessible via local and state routes. Edes Falls Road ensures the campground is tucked away, providing the necessary privacy and quiet that guests seek, while still being just a short drive from the amenities, shops, and restaurants in nearby Harrison, Naples, and Bridgton.

The surrounding 17 acres feature beautiful scenic wetlands and internal trails, offering ample opportunities for hiking and exploring the natural environment right outside your tent or cabin. This central Lakes Region location also means that famous regional attractions and additional outdoor adventures are never far away.

The location was easy to find, far away from hustle and bustle, with a large area to set up our tent. The “glamping” spots looked so comfortable, we got to check out the A-frame it looked so beautiful and relaxing. Trinity, the owner, was very welcoming and friendly. Everyone else was being very helpful and welcoming, they seemed like a big family. Overall, we had a great stay and look forward to coming back in the future.
Sep 15, 2025 · Aurora PetroskiCamp Laughing Grass is the best campground I've ever been to!! Trinity is super sweet and never disappoints! Camping here is always relaxing. 21+ so there are no children running around. There is a river with kayaks you can use without having to pay extra. The bathrooms are adorable and by far the best campground bathrooms you will ever see. The pavilion has so many things for you to enjoy as well. 4:20 session is always fun! You meet so many awesome people! Oh and security? 10/10 recommend saying hello to. Never got so excited to have security sniff out my campsite! Can't wait for our trip this year to experience the cool new activities that are held!!!
Jul 19, 2025 · Samantha AlbertCamp was so much fun! I highly recommend this place. My cabin was cute and clean and A/C. There were multiple grills you could use to cook. The bathrooms were clean and great pressure for being a campground! Happy Hour was fun and I actually won the game of guess the different strains. We did Tie-dyes and played Monopoly. The river is right down from where the cabins are. Super chill place! Two nights is definitely not enough! Can’t wait to go back again. Thank you, Trinity for having such an amazing place for all of us to come and enjoy!
Aug 09, 2025 · Robin LetarteLoved every second of camp I have now been multiple years and every time I go I meet more amazing people! I have made tons of friends at camp who I have stayed friends with!! Indie is the most amazing security you could ask for! And what can I say about Trinity she has been more then kind and generous every time we have been! The 420 boards are great some edibles up to 100mg a piece unheard of any where else!! I wish I could rate camp higher but 5 stars is all it will allow…. Long story short from the “ welcome to weed camp” to the sad goodbyes coming to camp is like coming home 💜
