A detailed review provides practical insights into the camp environment, noting, "The sand is very fine at TRJ, and will get everywhere. We also found ourselves doing laundry every other day, so a bucket, some dawn, a clothesline, and clothespins are recommended equipment. They also shared important practical information about connectivity: "When we were there, only the adults with AT&T had service, keep that in mind for your emergency communications plan." However, the staff's dedication shines through, as they describe a minor medical issue handled with exceptional care: "We had a minor medical issue, in the middle of the night, and had to go all the way to the clinic to contact the Ranger. Once the medical problems was communicated, the staff went above and beyond to rectify the situation." The overall consensus is captured beautifully by another simple yet powerful review: "Beautiful camping grounds with lots to do and many memories to make." These insights underscore the camp's commitment to safety, enjoyment, and a truly memorable outdoor adventure.

The relative remoteness also contributes to the camp's appeal, offering a true escape from urban noise and light pollution, allowing for a more authentic connection with nature. However, it's important to note the limited cell service (primarily AT&T) mentioned in reviews, which underscores the need for a pre-planned emergency communication strategy, though the dedicated staff are always available to assist on-site.

Great camp, great staff, and fun activities for the boys. "Be sure to remember to drink lots, and lots, of water. Because, if you don't, you're going to drop, like a rock... thaaat's right." Notes: The sand is very fine at TRJ, and will get everywhere. We also found ourselves doing laundry every other day, so a bucket, some dawn, a clothesline, and clothespins are recommended equipment. The clothespins are recommended because the breeze is amazing, but it will also strip your clothes off the line. The staff is so serious about all their guests drinking water that they even gave us all water bottles the first day. There is power at the pavilion in each camp (see pictures),and each one also has florescent lights; if you turn them on the bugs will come introduce themselves to you too! When we were there, only the adults with AT&T had service, keep that in mind for your emergency communications plan. We had a minor medical issue, in the middle of the night, and had to go all the way to the clinic to contact the Ranger. Once the medical problems was communicated, the staff went above and beyond to rectify the situation. I hope this, and the photos help. Be safe, and have fun! 🤠
