Carousel Mobile Home Park About
For many residents across Florida, mobile home parks represent a specific segment of the housing market, often considered for their potential affordability compared to traditional homes. In the bustling city of Tampa, Florida, Carousel Mobile Home Park is one such community. This article aims to provide a clear and informative overview of Carousel Mobile Home Park, intended to help local Floridians understand what to consider when evaluating this type of living arrangement. It's important to approach such options with a factual perspective, weighing various factors that contribute to a resident's experience.
The decision to choose a mobile home park as a place of residence is often influenced by factors like budget, desired level of community interaction, and proximity to work or amenities. While mobile home parks can offer a sense of neighborhood, the quality of living within any community is significantly shaped by its management, maintenance, and overall environment. Public feedback, as available, offers insights into these operational aspects. For instance, some past residents have raised serious concerns regarding maintenance responsiveness, property conditions, and community safety. These are critical points for any prospective resident to consider when evaluating Carousel Mobile Home Park.
This overview will delve into the practicalities of Carousel Mobile Home Park, covering its location and accessibility within Tampa, outlining the general services typically found in such communities, and discussing any known features. Given the nature of the provided reviews, it is essential to present a cautious but factual portrayal, focusing on what potential residents might encounter. Understanding these details is crucial for anyone in Florida looking into mobile home living as a viable housing solution.
Carousel Mobile Home Park is situated at 10016 US-92, Tampa, FL 33610, USA. This address places it directly on U.S. Highway 92, a significant east-west thoroughfare in the Tampa metropolitan area. The location within Tampa, a major urban center in Florida, offers a high degree of accessibility to various city amenities and services.
Being on US-92 means residents have direct access to a major road network, facilitating commutes and daily errands. The park is conveniently located near various shopping centers, including grocery stores, retail outlets, and dining options that line US-92 and surrounding areas. This urban setting ensures that residents are never far from essential services, employment opportunities, and entertainment venues typical of a large city like Tampa.
Furthermore, the park's location in Tampa provides excellent connectivity to major interstate highways, such as Interstate 4 (I-4) and Interstate 75 (I-75), which are critical for travel throughout Florida. This makes commuting to different parts of Tampa, Brandon, and even Orlando relatively straightforward. Public transportation options, while not explicitly detailed for this specific address, are generally more prevalent in urban areas like Tampa, potentially offering alternative transit solutions for residents. The urban positioning of Carousel Mobile Home Park is a key aspect, as it contrasts with more suburban or rural mobile home communities, offering the conveniences of city living.
Based on the general model of mobile home parks and the nature of available public information, Carousel Mobile Home Park would primarily offer the foundational services necessary for mobile home living. It is important to note that public reviews suggest significant concerns about the responsiveness and quality of these services in practice. Typically, residents can expect:
- Lot Rental and Basic Utilities Hookups: Residents lease the individual plots of land where their mobile homes are situated. This lot rental fee generally includes the provision of hookups for essential utilities such as water, sewer, and electricity. While residents are usually responsible for their individual utility consumption, the park ensures the infrastructure is in place. However, reviews have indicated issues, such as "half the electrical outlets in homes don't work" and "no refrigerator for almost a week due to an electrical issue," along with recurrent "no running water" and "sewers are always backed up," which suggests significant challenges in utility service provision and maintenance.
- Waste Management: A system for trash collection is typically provided or facilitated by the park management. However, a review mentioned "trash being raised along with rent," implying an additional cost and potential issues with overall waste management or its cost-effectiveness.
- Community Management: A management team is nominally in place to oversee the park's operations, enforce community rules, and address resident concerns. However, reviews severely criticize management's communication and responsiveness, stating, "Absolutely horrible communication" and issues with work orders for essential repairs like toilets and septic smells going unaddressed for extended periods.
- Grounds Maintenance (Common Areas): In an ideal scenario, the park management would maintain common areas. However, reviews point to neglect, such as "weeds up to knees with neighbors" and "trees are not maintained and are hazards," suggesting a lack of consistent upkeep.
- Security and Lighting: Proper lighting and security measures are crucial for resident safety. Reviews specifically mention "Poor lighting all through the park, which results in a lot of bad mischief. Scary!" indicating significant concerns in this area.
It is evident from public feedback that the practical delivery and quality of these expected services have been a major source of dissatisfaction for residents. Prospective residents should approach with caution and conduct thorough due diligence regarding the current state of services.
Based on the available information, particularly the customer reviews, Carousel Mobile Home Park's primary "features" from a factual standpoint are its fundamental structure as a mobile home community and its urban location. However, the reviews predominantly highlight areas of significant concern rather than positive distinguishing features or amenities typically advertised by well-regarded parks. Therefore, it is critical to present these points factually, acknowledging the public feedback:
- Urban Location in Tampa: Its placement on US-92 in Tampa is a key geographical feature, offering proximity to city amenities, transportation routes, and employment centers. This urban setting means residents are not far from shopping, dining, and other city conveniences.
- Mobile Home Living Structure: The park provides the framework for mobile home living, where residents own their homes but lease the land. This structure often offers a more affordable housing entry point compared to traditional real estate in Tampa.
It is important to acknowledge that the reviews provided point to significant negative aspects that overshadow traditional "highlights" one might expect from a well-maintained community. These include:
- Maintenance Issues: Repeated concerns about "emergency plumbing issues" taking "weeks to fix," "half the electrical outlets in homes don't work," and homes "missing hurricane ties."
- Utility Problems: Frequent reports of "no running water" and "sewers are always backed up," indicating severe infrastructure issues.
- Safety and Security Concerns: Mentions of "drug dealers moving into the exact same unit over and over again" and "Poor lighting all through the park, which results in a lot of bad mischief. Scary!" suggest significant safety and security deficiencies.
- Poor Communication and Responsiveness: Reviewers describe "Absolutely horrible communication" and unaddressed work orders for critical issues like septic smells causing health concerns.
- Property Upkeep Neglect: Descriptions of "Boarded up windows, mold, & weeds up to knees with neighbors," and residents "now parking in their yards and grassy areas" point to a severe lack of property maintenance and enforcement of community standards.
- Rising Costs with No Improvement: Frustration over rent and trash fees being "raised every year" with "no real improvements being made" and "Lawn privileges have been taken away" while residents are "having to buy individual lawn equipment and nowhere to store it."
These points represent factual statements from real customers that potential residents must be aware of when considering Carousel Mobile Home Park.
As a professional content writer providing factual information, it is important to state that based on the provided information and the nature of the customer reviews, there are no publicly advertised promotions or special offers for Carousel Mobile Home Park. The reviews primarily focus on significant operational and maintenance issues, rather than incentives for new residents.
Typically, mobile home parks might offer various promotions such as move-in specials, discounted first month's rent, or referral bonuses. However, without any specific information or positive indicators from public feedback, it is not possible to invent or infer any current special offers for this community.
Prospective residents who are still considering Carousel Mobile Home Park as a very last resort, as suggested by one reviewer, would need to contact the park management directly to inquire about any current availability, pricing, or potential offers. However, given the severe nature of the reported issues, the primary focus for any inquiry should be on the current state of infrastructure, management responsiveness, and safety.

When considering any residential option in Florida, particularly a mobile home park, local users weigh factors such as affordability, location, and quality of life. Based on the provided information, specifically the direct customer reviews, Carousel Mobile Home Park in Tampa presents a complex and challenging scenario for prospective residents. While its urban location offers a certain level of accessibility, the pervasive and severe issues highlighted in resident feedback make it difficult to recommend as a generally "suitable" place for local Floridians, except perhaps as an absolute last resort under specific circumstances.
The primary "suitability" factor for any mobile home park typically revolves around its potential for more affordable housing in a given area. Located on US-92 in Tampa, Carousel Mobile Home Park is indeed situated in a major metropolitan area where housing costs can be high. For individuals facing extreme budget constraints and limited alternatives, the sheer availability of a lot or home might be the sole defining factor. Its proximity to jobs, retail, and transportation within Tampa is a geographical advantage that cannot be overlooked for those who prioritize urban convenience above all else.
However, the detailed reviews paint a picture of significant and concerning operational deficiencies that severely impact the quality of life. Recurring problems with essential utilities ("half the electrical outlets... don't work," "no refridgerator for almost a week," "no running water," "sewers are always backed up"), unaddressed emergency maintenance issues ("weeks to fix emergency plumbing issues"), and structural concerns ("missing hurricane ties") are fundamental to safe and habitable living. Furthermore, the reported lack of property maintenance ("Boarded up windows, mold, & weeds up to knees," "trees are not maintained and are hazards"), poor lighting leading to "bad mischief," and safety concerns regarding "drug dealers" create an environment that is described as "scary" and highly undesirable.
The consistent criticism of "horrible communication" from management and the unresponsiveness to critical issues, even those involving potential health hazards like septic smells, indicate a significant breakdown in resident support. While an urban location offers access, the internal conditions and management practices described by residents suggest that any geographical advantage is heavily outweighed by the challenges of daily living within the park.
In conclusion, while Carousel Mobile Home Park is physically located in Tampa and offers mobile home spaces, the overwhelming public feedback points to severe and persistent issues regarding maintenance, safety, and management responsiveness. For local Floridians seeking a stable, safe, and well-maintained living environment, the information provided strongly suggests that this community would only be considered as a very last resort, as advised by a former resident. It is imperative for anyone contemplating residency here to exercise extreme caution and conduct extensive personal verification of all current conditions and management practices.

They have damaged my car, took weeks to fix emergency plumbing issues, half the electrical outlets in homes dont work and are missing hurricane ties. They keep moving drug dealers into the exact same unit over and over again (seems sus to me).Currently dealing with an issue of having no refridgerator for almost a week due to an electrical issue and they still cant even give me an update on fixing either of those problems. I wouldnt recommend living here to my worst enemy. Move here only as a very last resort
Shady Acres Park on Lehman Rd......On the 17th 2 young girls working in the off ice came by to tell me to take my pool down in 48 hours or I would get a 100 fine, while they were here, I told them about my toilet not flushing right and the septic smell coming from my lines. I also told them how it looked damp under my home as if the lines were leaking. They told me they would put in a work order. I waited a week and 2 days but no one came. On August 26th at 5pm, my wife called because the septic smell gave me a very bad headache & my stomach started to feel sick. the inside of my home literally smelled like a septic tank. They told my wife, they would put in a work order & asked if we had another toilet we can use....the problem is the septic, our toilets barely flush & when they do, it trickles down like a drip in a faucet. Today is the 27th of August and the office is open at 10. The code enforcer told me if the problem isn't fixed by end of day Monday August 29, 2022, to call him back because the smell is toxins and are extremely harmful & can cause death if the toxins are around for too long. He also told me that issues like this are supposed to be resolved immediately, not with work orders because of the toxins.
Roaches, mites, and trashy ass people who let their kids be unsupervised even as young as 2 years old. Owners Allow animal abuse on their properties, and never fixes anything. They must be paying code to pass, they also are breaking the law by having 6 month leases, trying to avoid hotel tax. They are so rude, and never fix anything. They should feel ashamed of themselves, kids have to live here in filthy conditions And unhealthy homes. Truly disgusting
used to be a pretty decent place to live when Bill and Marylynn owned it. When they retired and sold it the place went to hell. Would never exterminate, roaches everywhere. Bill used to take care of the place and exterminate when necessary. Now it's not fit for an animal to live in..new owners are nasty.
