Kentwood Mobile Home Community About

Are you a Florida local, or considering becoming one, looking for a unique and potentially more affordable housing solution in the vibrant Tampa Bay area? Mobile home parks, often referred to as manufactured home communities, offer an alternative to traditional stick-built homes, providing a distinct lifestyle that combines independent living with a sense of community. In a rapidly growing and often costly housing market like Florida, these communities can present a valuable option for many, from individuals to families, seeking to establish roots without the prohibitive price tag often associated with conventional real estate.

Kentwood Mobile Home Community, located in Tampa, FL, is one such place that aims to provide residents with a comfortable and convenient living experience. Understanding what a mobile home park truly entails is crucial for potential residents. It typically involves owning a manufactured home (or leasing one from the park) while leasing the land, or "lot," on which it sits. This model can offer flexibility and often a lower entry cost compared to purchasing both a home and the land in a traditional setting. However, it also means that the lot rent is a significant ongoing factor, and understanding the management and its policies is key to a positive experience.

This article will delve into Kentwood Mobile Home Community, providing an overview of its location, the general services and features one might expect in such a community, and direct insights from residents to offer a comprehensive picture. Conclusion: Why This Place is Suitable for Locals

Kentwood Mobile Home Community, despite some recent challenges noted by residents, still holds potential suitability for locals in the Florida region, particularly those prioritizing a specific type of living arrangement and community feel. For many Floridians, the concept of a mobile home park represents a more accessible entry point into the housing market compared to the escalating costs of traditional single-family homes or even some apartment complexes in the Tampa Bay area.

One of the core appeals for locals is often the sense of community that can be cultivated in such a park. As one long-term resident highlighted, despite other concerns, there's a prevailing sentiment that "Nobody causes problems and we all look out for each other." This emphasizes a potentially strong neighborly bond, which is a significant draw for individuals and families seeking a supportive and connected environment. For those who value a tight-knit community where faces are familiar and assistance is often nearby, Kentwood could offer a genuine sense of belonging.

The geographical location in Tampa, FL, is another undeniable advantage. Being situated at 4821 Williams Rd means residents have good access to Tampa's employment opportunities, educational institutions, healthcare facilities, and a wealth of recreational and cultural activities. This balance between a potentially quieter residential setting and proximity to urban conveniences aligns with the desires of many Floridians who want to enjoy the benefits of city life without necessarily living in its densest parts. For those commuting for work, or wanting to explore Tampa's vibrant scene, the accessibility is a key factor.

However, it is crucial for prospective local residents to approach Kentwood Mobile Home Community with full awareness of the feedback from current residents. The concern about lot rent increases and maintenance issues with the current corporate ownership ("Our Homes of America") is a significant point to consider. For Floridians looking for long-term stability and predictable housing costs, it becomes essential to have clear discussions with management about rent policies, maintenance schedules, and future plans. A thorough visit, asking specific questions about these matters, and perhaps even speaking with more residents on-site can provide a clearer picture.

Ultimately, Kentwood Mobile Home Community's suitability for locals lies in its potential for affordable living and a community-focused environment within the desirable Tampa area. For those who prioritize these aspects and are prepared to engage proactively with management to understand the current operational context, it could still be a viable and welcoming place to call home in Florida. The community spirit and prime location remain strong attractions for the right resident.

I've lived here 5 years. The first 3 years I would have given it 4 stars, however now in the last 2 years the new corporate owners are AWFUL!! The company Our Homes of America continues to raise rent and refuses to do any repairs or basic maintenance. It used to be a beautiful quiet park in a perfectly located area. Now it's run down and more vacancies than tenants due to the slum Lord behavior and ownership of these properties. Our Homes of America has bought every mobile home park in our general area and all parks are being run the same way. The direct management staff takes your complaints and requests and " claims" your on a list for approval by corporate for your repairs, but that's all they can do til approval from corporate. I've been waiting over 7 months for repairs, only to be told each week some one is coming, and each week no one shows up. I advise you keep looking if you are considering moving here because you will not be happy at Kentwood Mobile Home park. You'll pay too much $ for a Mobile home that is left to fall apart with you in it!! #ourhomesofamerica, #KentwoodMHPLLC

I lived here for about 8 years and I for one like it very much. The water and sewage bill is a little much but the community is nice. Nobody causes problems and we all look out for each other. Say hello to Robert.

What I like is the family type of feeling there. It's a quiet place with oak trees. It's a place to live and relax after work.

Been here for 15 years and for the area it's in. I'd say it is most likely the quietest park here!
