Cedar Hollow RV Park About
For Texans seeking a stable and peaceful base for their RV, whether for an extended stay or as a long-term residence, Cedar Hollow RV Park in Weatherford, TX, offers a quiet and established option. Situated just outside the vibrant heart of Weatherford, this RV park caters specifically to those looking for a more permanent or semi-permanent RV living solution. Unlike transient campgrounds, Cedar Hollow RV Park appears to focus on providing a calm and steady environment for its residents. If you're a local RVer desiring a place to settle down for a while, where you can unpack, connect with a sense of community, and enjoy the tranquility of a non-resort setting, Cedar Hollow RV Park might be the ideal fit for your needs in North Texas.
Cedar Hollow RV Park is located at 177 McFarland Ln, Weatherford, TX 76088, USA. This address places it just outside the main bustling areas of Weatherford, a city renowned for its rich Western heritage and its convenient proximity to the Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) metroplex.
The park's location on McFarland Lane suggests a setting that offers a degree of quiet and removal from major thoroughfares, contributing to the "quiet" atmosphere noted by a reviewer. Despite this peaceful setting, accessibility to Weatherford's amenities is still quite good. Weatherford itself is easily reachable via Interstate 20, which provides direct access from Fort Worth (typically a 30-45 minute drive) and points further east, or from cities to the west. This makes Cedar Hollow RV Park a practical option for Texans who commute for work in the DFW area, require access to urban services, or simply wish to enjoy the cultural and recreational offerings of Weatherford without being directly in the thick of it. The presence of trees, as mentioned in a review, indicates a natural setting that offers shade and a pleasant environment. Its position "just outside of Weatherford" ensures a balance of rural peace and convenient access to local shops, restaurants, healthcare facilities, and the unique charm of this historic Texas town, making it an excellent choice for long-term residents seeking a blend of tranquility and connectivity.
Based on the provided information, Cedar Hollow RV Park is primarily focused on offering essential services for long-term RV living rather than extensive recreational amenities. The park's main offerings include:
- RV Lots/Sites: The park provides designated spaces for RVs, catering to long-term residents. This suggests stable, defined spots for parking an RV.
- Utility Hookups: As a residential-focused RV park, it is expected that sites come equipped with standard utility connections, which would typically include:
- Electric Hookups: For powering the RV's electrical systems.
- Water Hookups: For direct access to potable water.
- Sewer Hookups: For convenient wastewater disposal.
- Long-Term Living Focus: Reviewers confirm that it is a "long term living park," indicating that its services are structured to accommodate residents for extended periods, potentially on a monthly or even yearly basis.
- Quiet Environment: The park's atmosphere is described as "small, quiet," suggesting that rules and management aim to maintain a peaceful environment suitable for residents.
It is important to note that the provided reviews mention "no amenities" beyond the basic living spaces, which means guests should not expect features like swimming pools, clubhouses, or extensive recreational facilities. The focus is squarely on providing a stable, maintained spot for your RV with essential utilities.
One reviewer's feedback highlights potential management dynamics regarding lot maintenance, where tenants might be expected to manage their immediate space or incur additional costs for upkeep. Prospective residents should clarify these expectations when inquiring about a spot.
Cedar Hollow RV Park's key features and highlights are predominantly tied to its operational model and environment, catering specifically to long-term RV residents:
- Long-Term Residence Focus: This is the primary highlight. The park is explicitly noted as a "long term living park," which means it's set up for individuals or families who plan to stay for extended periods. This often translates to more stable communities and a less transient feel than typical overnight campgrounds.
- Quiet and Peaceful Atmosphere: Reviewed as "small quiet," the park offers a serene environment, making it ideal for those who prefer a tranquil setting away from the hustle and bustle. This is especially beneficial for those working from their RVs or simply desiring a calm home base.
- Natural Surroundings with Trees: The presence of "trees" is a notable feature, providing natural shade and a more aesthetically pleasing environment than open, paved lots. Trees can also help mitigate the Texas heat and offer a sense of privacy.
- Convenient Location Outside Weatherford: While not in the absolute center of town, being "just outside of Weatherford" provides a balance. Residents get the peace of a slightly rural setting while still having quick and easy access to all the amenities, services, and attractions that Weatherford has to offer.
- Established Community: Having residents who have been there for "over two years" suggests an established community, which can be a positive for those looking to settle in and potentially form connections with neighbors.
It's crucial for prospective residents to be aware of the "no amenities" aspect, as this means the park doesn't offer the recreational facilities often found in larger RV resorts. However, for those seeking a quiet, stable, and straightforward place to live in their RV with basic utilities and natural surroundings, these features are precisely what make Cedar Hollow RV Park a suitable option.
Based on the provided information, there are no specific promotions or special offers publicly advertised for Cedar Hollow RV Park. As a "long term living park," its focus is likely on competitive monthly or extended-stay rates rather than short-term promotional deals common to more transient RV campgrounds.
However, it is always recommended for interested parties to contact the park directly to inquire about their current rate structure, availability, and any potential long-term pricing advantages. While not a "promotion," direct inquiry might reveal:
- Monthly or Extended Stay Rates: These are the primary offering of long-term parks and typically represent a significant discount compared to daily or weekly rates. Details such as required deposits, utility billing (e.g., electricity often billed separately for long-term stays), and lease terms should be discussed directly.
- Any Specific Move-In Incentives: Occasionally, parks might offer small incentives for new long-term residents, especially during slower seasons, though this is not indicated in the provided data.
Given the varied feedback on management dynamics, a direct phone call is highly advisable not only to inquire about rates and potential offers but also to engage in a conversation that can help prospective residents gauge the park's atmosphere and management style firsthand. This proactive approach ensures you have all the necessary information to make an informed decision about your long-term RV home.

Cedar Hollow RV Park in Weatherford, TX, stands out as a highly suitable option for Texas locals, particularly those seeking a quiet, stable, and long-term place to establish their RV home. Its appeal is rooted in its specific niche as a "long term living park" and its strategic location within the North Texas landscape.
For Texans who are digital nomads, retirees, or individuals needing an extended stay for work or family reasons, Cedar Hollow offers the fundamental infrastructure of an RV park without the transient nature or higher costs often associated with recreational resorts. The emphasis on providing essential utility hookups (electric, water, sewer) means residents have all the necessities for comfortable daily living in their RV. The "small, quiet" atmosphere, coupled with the presence of trees, creates a peaceful residential feel, allowing locals to truly settle in and enjoy a sense of community over time, rather than just passing through.
Furthermore, its location "just outside of Weatherford" is a significant advantage. This provides the best of both worlds: the tranquility of a slightly rural setting combined with convenient access to all the amenities, services, and charm of Weatherford. Locals can easily reach grocery stores, healthcare facilities, and enjoy the city's unique attractions like its historic downtown, shops, and seasonal events, all within a short drive. This balance makes it highly practical for everyday life.
While the park may not offer extensive recreational amenities, this is often a trade-off for affordability and a focus on long-term residential comfort, which aligns with the needs of many long-term RVers. For Texans who value a steady, peaceful, and well-located base for their RV in a less resort-like environment, Cedar Hollow RV Park presents a compelling and practical choice for making Weatherford their extended home. It's a place designed for long-term comfort and quiet living, offering a stable community amidst the beauty of North Texas.
Customer Reviews
I've been here over two years never late on rent no noise no issues until today when one of the owners came up to me and almost barked at me to get my car out of the grass (front yard ) where there would be no grass if not for me if would be all rocks and dirt his demeanor is always angry and acts as if he is above us trailer park people and I had a friend (girl) with me when he came up and scolded me for parking there very rudely for the first time . He had no tact no politeness a few minutes after came to my door and threatened me with eviction and told me to move my ass out if I can't follow rules .mind you Ive never had any issues here . I want to make it clear one of the owners is very personable and easy to get along with but the other one like I said looks down on you tries to talk down to you if you let him so there is a little info for you guys looking to rent here good luck on your search for a park
It's a long term living park. Small quite. Has trees. No amenities just outside of weatherford .
Why do the owners of Cedar Hollow RV Park pretend to be customers writing reviews on their own RV Park? I'll never understand that. We lived at Cedar Hollow for a month. Some of our neighbors teenagers thought it would be funny to bang on our RV door (and dent it) and run away at 2:00 AM. There are no bathrooms, no laundry, no WiFi, no anything. We rented a covered Site for $600 per month, plus electric. That's a lot of money for no amenities. We only talked to Jeremy on the phone. We actually met Bryce. He had to drive to the RV Park to install electricity meters in order for us to get electricity to our RV. We spent our first night in the dark. When he finally showed up, he acted like he was being bothered to turn on the electric. (Don't rent the Site if it's not ready to rent). They asked us to pay in cash, including the deposit. When we left, they didn't return our deposit. One of the tenants (old man who mows for the owners) told us that the owners don't like to come to their park. The owners used rocks, instead of gravel for the Sites, and the rocks cut your tires. Just drive through the park and you'll see some of the oldest, nastiest RV's ever. There is no RV age requirement. The owners also own Pecan Hollow RV Park in Weatherford Texas. Just drive through that park, and you'll see the same thing. When business owners ask you for cash and don't give you a receipt, they're usually not reporting the revenue to the IRS or Texas. Our advice...... steer clear of these 2 places. I don't know if God will have mercy on their souls. Romans 13:6-7 says to pay your taxes.
This park actually has a daily rate as well as weekly & monthly (that's pretty cool). It's in the country so it's nice and quiet. Peaceful. The employees are cool & get stuff done and we get free wifi. I can play my games and watch my movies will no skips or 'buffering', 'loading' or slow connection. And the view of the Texas sky is freaking awesome too!!! The colors during sunset are different every night and it's just soooo big and breath taking.
This is the place to bring your RV in Weatherford. Classy people bringing classy Rv living at an affordable price. One low price rent water sewage and trash and wifi included. Electric is the only extra cost besides the rent. Friendly caring and understanding management going out of their way to make your stay the best possible stay. THEY CARE ABOUT PEOPLE .
