It's a no-frills, straightforward park that prioritizes essential amenities and accessibility, making it a reliable choice for the self-sufficient RVer.
The Cleveland County Fairgrounds RV Park serves as a strategic base for experiencing all that Norman has to offer. Its operational model is designed for ease of use, providing standard hookups and a quiet atmosphere, particularly outside of major fairground events. It's an honest and unpretentious park, ideal for those who value practicality and a good location over extensive recreational facilities. For many Oklahomans, especially those attending events at the fairgrounds or visiting the nearby University of Oklahoma, its simplicity and accessibility are precisely what make it so appealing.
Cleveland County Fairgrounds RV Park is located at 615 E Robinson St, Norman, OK 73071, USA. This central Norman address places it strategically for easy access to a variety of local attractions and major transportation routes. E Robinson Street is a well-known thoroughfare in Norman, ensuring that the park is straightforward to locate and access for RVs of all sizes.
The accessibility of this RV park is one of its key advantages for local Oklahomans. Situated conveniently off I-35 and Robinson Road, it provides quick and easy access for those traveling from Oklahoma City, Moore, or other parts of the state. This means less time navigating congested city streets with your RV and more time enjoying your stay. For those visiting the University of Oklahoma, the fairgrounds are just minutes away, making it an ideal spot for parents visiting students, attendees of university events, or even fans coming in for a Sooners game. Beyond the university, the park's proximity to Lake Thunderbird offers outdoor enthusiasts opportunities for hiking, fishing, and boating. Additionally, everyday conveniences like restaurants, grocery stores, and retail shops are within a short drive, ensuring that everything you need is easily accessible. This blend of urban convenience and access to natural attractions positions Cleveland County Fairgrounds RV Park as a highly accessible and practical choice for RVers in the Oklahoma region.

Due to its nature as a fairgrounds RV park that largely operates on a first-come, first-serve basis, Cleveland County Fairgrounds RV Park does not typically advertise extensive promotions or special offers in the same way a resort-style RV park might. The pricing structure is already designed to be affordable for both daily and weekly stays, with published rates of $35 per night and $210 per week.
However, it's always advisable for prospective visitors to contact the Fairgrounds office directly. While overt discounts may not be common, there could be specific arrangements or considerations for very long-term stays (though the park is intended for short-term use, policies can sometimes have flexibility). For those planning to attend multiple events at the fairgrounds throughout the year, inquiring about any loyalty programs or bundled pricing options could be beneficial, though this is less common for fairground RV parks. It's important to note that special events at the fairgrounds might impact availability or pricing, so confirming directly with the Fairgrounds staff is always the best practice to get the most accurate and up-to-date information on any potential value-added offers or booking considerations.

Customer Reviews
A very nice venue for the county. I went to the county fsir and was so very impressed by the wntire event snd the large turnoit. Will go there every year!
The park had plenty of signs telling dog owners to pick up after their dogs, but there were absolutely zero trash cans to do so. They sent out a nasty gram at one point telling people to pick up after their dogs and threatening to kick people out who didn't. It was bizarre the lengths they went to without putting down any trash cans. Also, the park was extremely soupy during rain storms with bad drainage.
Updated January 2023 This so-called “park" was, for a long time, the perimeter of the empty parking lot of the Cleveland County Fairgrounds. Consequently many of these reviews and photos are taken of and written for the County Fair which occurs in the fall. The rest of the year offers various markets or events The actual RV park has always been an off-season use of the empty parking lot. They have now upgraded some of the gravel slots and created about 20 actual concrete RV slots which will make it easier to keep your unit clean. These 20 new slabs are nicely lit and all seem to have individual 50 Amp connections, water, electric and sewer. The park is convenient to most things in Norman, and is the only RV facility in town other than Walmart and Sam's. There are alternative RV parks but they are further up or down the highway. Scheduling is first come first serve. They do not accept reservations and even seem reluctant to let you know if slots are available. Just show up and take your chances. When I pointed out that their prices seemed high in comparison to parks that also offer picnic tables, showers, bathrooms, a pool, laundry and even a workout room (the short list of shortcomings of this “park”) they informed me that there was a state park about 17 miles down the road that I could use. But I have found the people in the office to be quite nice. If you cannot find a developed spot for your RV check the empty parking lot. There are power and water hook-ups but no sewage. The Wifi is terribly weak and not able to be used from most slots. On the new, developed, slots you may notice that the car/truck park is on the back side of your RV. Odd but not hard to live with. Overall the 20 new slots make this a much more comfortable stay. There are two entrances. The one on Robinson has a light but is pretty tight. If it is busy you may find this one to be difficult. Also, they have been working on the Robinson Gate and it is sometimes closed. The entrance on Porter is wider and less used but it has a bit of a hill. You may scrape pavement if your rig is close to the ground. Payment for your stay can be made in the Fairground office which is in the brick addition at the South end of the large metal exposition building. There is also a small kiosk near the Robinson St gate that has envelopes and a lock box for late arrivals. The park is considered a short stay park and long stays are discouraged and require permission in advance. Again, many of the photos and evaluations here are for the annual County Fair and should not be part of this RV park description.
Stayed for about a week (weekly rate) and was great. They are adding some new sites on the North side of property with concrete pads and full hookups! Ours was still on the gravel site. It is fairly quiet with some traffic noise but what d'ya expect being in town?!! "Holly" in the office is very polite, friendly and helpful with tons of info about the area! Hiking Trails near by.. Sutton Wilderness Trail Park. Mountain Biking, Hiking, Boating, and Fishing at the nearby Lake Thunderbird. Golf Course is near I-35 and Robinson St. There are several grocery stores, hardware stores very close by as well.. Propane can be purchased at "OLG" Propane on 12th Ave NE & Main St about 1.5 miles away. And if need, the Hospital is just across the street!! Come on in and stay awhile and enjoy this wonderful place and town!
Very nice RV concrete pads with full hookups and street lights along the road. Well lit and each site has a place on the side for parking. The only drawback is that it's close to a hospital and fire department, so we heard sirens from first responders occasionally 24hrs a day. Other than that, it's very well kept and a great little place with convenience stores, restaurants, and shopping nearby.
