As a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers park, East Lofers Bend Park operates under a standard fee structure that typically focuses on affordability and access for the general public, rather than offering frequent, limited-time promotions. However, there are general approaches to pricing and potential savings that Texans should be aware of when planning their visit:
America the Beautiful Passes: For frequent visitors to federal recreation sites, including those managed by the Corps of Engineers, various America the Beautiful National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands Passes are available. These passes (such as the Annual Pass, Senior Pass, Access Pass, Military Pass, etc.) can offer discounts on camping fees and waive day-use entrance fees at many federal sites. If you plan to visit multiple federal parks throughout the year, purchasing one of these passes could provide significant savings.
Standard Camping Rates: Campsite fees are generally set at a competitive rate, varying based on the type of site (e.g., standard, with hookups, primitive) and duration of stay. While not a "promotion," the inherent value of a well-maintained lakeside campsite at an affordable rate is a key draw.
Reservations: To secure your desired campsite, especially during peak season or holidays, it is highly recommended to make reservations in advance through the official Recreation.gov website or app. This platform will provide the most current pricing for specific dates and sites.
For the most accurate and up-to-date information on camping fees, any specific permit requirements, or details regarding pass acceptance, it is always best to check the official Recreation.gov website for East Lofers Bend Park or contact the park directly using the provided phone number. What a wonderful park. We reserved #27. One or two trees close but not shade like I’d hoped for BUT we were right at the water so that made it up for me! Neighbors close but not too close. Picnic table under a shelter, had a fire pit and bbq pit. Dog friendly and all dogs we saw were leashed which was a nice relief. Clean restroom facilities, parks for the kids, trails for walking, ppl fishing, just a very nice park. Park Host stopped by and welcomed us and passed out our parking hangers.
May 12, 2025 · G JOur camp site was shaded and close to the water. Caught some fish and saw a herd of deer. Park is clean and well kept. The staff were very nice. We love Lake Whitney and this place was great. Nice and quiet.
Jun 20, 2023 · MichelleA nice park with hookups for my trailer. I camped at site 28 which would be pretty close to the water if not for the drought (August 2022). It's been quiet here the whole time (8 nights) even over the weekend. This park will be a favorite of mine. Both Lofers Bend East & West have their charms, from the perspective of a nature photographer.
Aug 09, 2022 · Mark RossiNice and spacious camp sites. Clean facilities and park. Wasn’t over crowded at all even though all the sites around us were in use. Shoreline is rocky not sand. Bob & Kelly at the gate are super nice and full of great tips!
