A pleasant little stop after checking out the ‘bigs’ that was getting a lot of use while I was there (and it wasn’t even a weekend!) The shelters were occupied, young kids seemed to be enjoying the playground, and still others were attending to their horse near the equine campsites. The fountains in the park ponds were another enjoyable touch.
We aimed for Casey after stopping here on a trip 3 years ago. We had stayed then at a campground outside of town, but we’re unable to find it this time ( It had a free haunted barn, which was super awesome!). This park popped up for camping though and it’s going to work great!!
Great place to bring family. Ball parks, play grounds, pavilions, and beautiful ponds and fountains. War memorial honoring our veterans and powers if needed and upon request for events.
Great location, clean park, nice campsites. We tent camped and found that there was plenty of level ground. The grass was a bit long which made it buggy and wet in the morning. Park board member Jerry was very friendly. It only cost us $10 per tent for the night. Nice restrooms and showers, although the men’s bathroom stalls could use doors.
What a great place! A city park with water and electric. $25 a night. Lots of space. Great walking paths.
