Very quiet campground. Beautiful place with plenty of room. Only downside was there are sand burrs everywhere, my little puppies kept getting them stuck in their paws and it would hurt them. Next time I’ll bring a rake or something. Perfect getaway. I will definitely return!
Apr 22, 2024 · JessI absolutely loved this place, host has been out due to personal reasons, but the host who starts in May has been watching over everything and he is the absolute bee's knee's!!! He's as sweet as can be and he'll sit and have a conversation with you not just about being a host and the authority role, he's actually takes time to be a human and interact with campers! I adore the beauty here too, cannot beat the sun rise and sun set over the water. Highly recommend to any family, pet, or just social campers!!!
Apr 10, 2025 · peyton michelle hudsonI went fishing at Flat Rock Creek Campground on two different occasions. I caught 4 catfish one evening. It was beautiful. In addition to catching the fish, I enjoyed watching the pelicans, herrings, and deer. If you leave after dark be careful for deer crossing the road. I saw a fishing hut across the lake.
Nov 01, 2023 · Dan FossoyThis is a little hidden jewel. We found this little Corp of Engineers Park, a little off the beaten pass. We also visited after a few weeks of torrential rain. So, it was partially flooded, as Ft. Gibson Lake, would have released water from the dam, to ease in water overflow. Even with that said, it was really clean and didn't have much debris around the park. The camp attendant was very nice and asked if we needed a map, which we gladly took. I took several pictures around the park, and we will be going back for some good sunsets. I am attaching photos, including a contact number and site and rate schedule. This park offers up to 14 day stay, 50/30/15 amp electric, water and picnic tables at each site. Dump station available in park. We will definitely be going back,. It is a hidden gem.
Jun 21, 2022 · Christy AllenDay 3 I think, I'm in a holding pattern, but management is nice, met a few people, most are one ore two night stays o kinda fat for me, kinda Rocky to walk out and swim, have heard or seen any trouble, seems very safe, bathroom, showers are acceptable, not awesome, but not nasty, lots of green space, lots of lake front, views from probably every spot, $20 night is cool, I'm...and I think most water and eletric only....few rangers drive through, but very cool chill, family, fishers, place...so far so good!
