Quiet, remote-ish campground. No showers, you have to go up the road to willow bay for that. It's quiet, it's not complicated to get to, it has a surprising number of sites and loops to choose from. Fire pits and tables at the sites in the loop where I stayed, clean and not grown in.
Sep 17, 2025 · James BaileyAwesome campground. Very quiet at night. Did a first come first serve type of deal. Had a great time and will be back
Aug 03, 2025 · nick emeryBeautiful, private and quiet campground. Lots of options and plenty of space. Fire ring, picnic table provided. Was able to find a lot of wood around too for building campfires. 2 main downsides were that pretty much every campsite was very rocky so it was very challenging to put down stakes for a tent. Secondly, the trails were a little confusing. The blazes seemed to be messed up on the trail I was on and I ended up getting a little lost in the woods. Eventually I found my way back on the trail I originally came on. Despite that, the camping trip was easy. Went on off-season so I didn't need a reservation. Just showed up and then paid before I left. I simply put money in an envelope and slipped it into a locked metal box (the pay station). I was there for 3 days and only saw 1 other person walk by our campsite. A few cars drove by but other than that it was very private. Would definitely recommend coming here if you just want a space to hang out and pitch a tent.
May 17, 2023 · Rachel MillerWonderful place! So very relaxing 😌 & beautiful! Great adventure & fun! Bring your own water or boil the water there before you drink it. Summer days are BEAUTIFUL & the nights are cold 🥶 so remember to BRING BLANKETS. (Bring a metal detector & you can find interesting things!)
Jun 07, 2023 · BrandyClean, quiet and plenty of room between sites. If you plan ahead (at least 3 days before your arrival) you can reserve a specific site. Otherwise it is first come, first served. There is no attendant so there is a self pay/ honor system upon your arrival. This is a rustic camp ground with non-flush out houses and hand pumps for water.
