First time camping experience. The campground itself is beautiful and relaxing. Everyone was friendly, bathrooms/showers are very clean. Only minor complaint is the area we reserved to camp (A36) had a very rocky terrain with a lot of tree roots exposed. Our tent was pitched on a slant and had mini boulders underneath and it was the best spot on the site. I checked a few of the other camp sites and it seems hit or miss, some were worse than ours with rocks and tree roots and others were much better looking. Best advice if you can, go pick a site in person before reserving. Everything else was great. Had an awesome time. Pool was huge too. Lakes Hopewell and Scott's run were beautiful as well, we stopped by and fishes for a bit but didnt catch anything. Fishing would be much better if you rent a kayak or canoe and get out on the water. There are playgrounds and also communal water spigots. Place to dump your trash and even empty your RV tanks too. Sites basically has it all.
Aug 24, 2025 · J SBeautiful place to camp. Well maintained. Lots to do. Hiking trails starting right at camping area. Two lakes within five minutes. Park rangers keep it safe and are very polite and helpful.
Sep 15, 2025 · Jeff KoonsWe stayed 2 nights in Loop B (each loop re-uses the same numbers (!) so keep track of which loop you reserve!). It was nice & quiet since it was a pet-free loop. Lost a star because the showers were so HOT that it was almost dangerous. Also I rate camp showers based on number of wall hooks....there were none. sigh. We did take a ranger-led night hike which was very nice, tho possibly too fast for all the participants.
Jul 07, 2025 · Mary-Jeanine IbarguenAbsolutely would not recommend and never returning. My family and I visited in August and did not have a positive experience. While there are some positives, such as having electricity and a pool, the cons outweighed the pros. The sites are very small and rocky. No space to place your tent without having large rocks under. The amount of gnats was disturbing. What really negatively affected our stay were the park rangers. They were very hostile with our group. We were fined without a verbal or written notice. Also while leaving the pool on Saturday, a man was getting arrested and cuffed very aggressively as the man was cooperating with the rangers’ requests
Aug 21, 2025 · Claudia ReyesWe loved it! It was very clean and peaceful. The sites are large. We had site 5 in Loop B. It has electricity only but there was a spigot right next to us. There are spigots place all around the loop. There are other loops that have more H/U but we were only here for one night and dumped at the on site dump station. The dump station had 4 dumping areas. Concrete area, a hose is provided and very clean. We will definitely be coming back and highly recommend this park.
